I just have to share my experience at the Inverness Chili's tonight 4/16/2023. We ordered curbside pickup to be picked up at 7pm. Order was placed at 6:06pm. I arrived and waited at the curbside pickup and waited 15 minutes. No one came out so I attempted to call the restaurant and no one answered.
I went inside and a man walked in behind me also in a similar situation. When a worker came out to help he waited on the man first even though the man told him I was there before him. But I just waited. At this point it is 7:30pm- 30 minutes after our food was supposed to be picked up.
When I was finally waited on they said it wasn't complete and it would be a few more minutes. Keep in mind the restaurant did not appear busy at all.
Then after another 10 minutes or so. The same worker came out and said that the topping for the dessert was frozen and they would need 30 minutes to thaw. That didn't bother me too much seeing how I didn't really want the dessert. It was just part of the meal. But there was no offer to make this right or how about take off the dessert and keep it. He literally wanted me to wait another 30 minutes and the rest of the food was completed and now cold at this point.
I called the manager over to discuss what happened. His response is " we must have dropped the ball" and then just stood there. I said can you keep the dessert and take it off the check. (Literally $2.49 add on the meal I got) at this point they wasted a lot of my time, my food is cold. The manager had the poorest customer service skills I have ever seen in the restaurant business. I am a business owner myself and good customer service is the most important thing.
Also when we got home 1 of the half rib racks were not in the bag 🤪🤪😳 Not too surprising after the overall experience.
Hope no one else has had this experience and I would like to hope that this is a one time experience. Maybe the manager had something bad happen...IDK
BUT I will NEVER put my hard earned money at the Inverness...
Read moreMy wife and I visited this location shortly after they opened. The food and service were OK (nothing really bad or outstanding) but the music was sooooo LOUD that it was really uncomfortable.
We made a second visit several months later to give it a second chance. Second verse, same as the first! We finally asked our server if they would turn the music volume down (which they did after a brief period of time)! The chips and salsa were the highlight of this visit and our server gave us a fresh bag of warm chips to take home.
My wife received a gift card so we decided to try again today. We arrived a bit early for an evening meal. There were a small number of diners at a couple of tables but no employees in sight. We stood at the hostess area for over three minutes (listening to music BLASTING LOUDLY over the speaker right above the door) before someone arrived to seat us. Our order was taken (although they had no tea to drink and no broccoli as a side) and filled promptly. Again, great chips and salsa. I commonly have the Margarita Grilled Chicken but decided to try something different this time and ordered the Carne Asada. It was not edible. It was nearly impossible to cut with the knife and was like trying to chew a rubber floor mat! After some addition customers arrived and were seated near us and were having to talk real loud in order to hear one another across the table over the music, we, again, asked to have the volume turned down but our server said that the volume control knob on the sound system had been broken off!
Three strikes! We will not be back. If we get another gift card we will regift it to someone who can use it at...
Read moreStopped in for a late lunch 2 times week of 04/17. 1st experience wasn't the greatest. I came in and was unsure if I was to wait for seating or if I was to take a seat. The place was quiet about 4 or 5 staff doing their thing so I waited and waited. Until finally I took myself to the bar and sat down as there was one patron there and I believe the server/bartender. Here I sat and waited and waited. The employee went in the back. And after a while another came out and offered me my first greeting. I ordered an Ice Tea and waited some more. Finally tea arrived and a server took my order which included chips and salsa. After a minute or 2 chips arrived and I believe I received the bottom barrel of earlier lunch time. My lunch order included Soup salad and chips. It took a bit for all to come out and when it did I received a small wilted warm Caesar salad and A very good potato soup. The server came over popped down a machine with my bill total on it and left. I had cash, so I waited and waited for her to come back as I seen no cash option on the machine nor a button to signal I intended to pay with cash. So I was stuck waiting some more. Eventually she came back and took my money. A soup and salad lunch during an off time took over an hour and I was left with the thought of not coming back. But I did not let the one experience deter me, 2 days later I went back with another person at approx the same time as previous visit. My visit began again with no greeting and a wait. Eventually we were acknowledged and taken to a booth. This time I had an attentive server, ordered Soup salad and chips. Service and food was...
