Checkers — Restaurant in Inverness

I placed a 60 dollar order online for the 5 of us and when we got there to pick up they told us thet were closed due to some plumbing issue. Told my husband that it would take an additional 20 mins to heat up all the equipment just to cook our food or we could get a refund. My husband chose to get the refund. When he got back to the car from the pick up window 2 other people were able to order from the window and they opened up the drive thru and more people ordered food and got it. My husband then went to ask what the heck was going on and they said oh it was just a guess as to how long. Meanwhile I still haven't gotten the refund back in my bank and any time I call Corporation none understand English! This place is a joke and stole our hard earned money and didn't feel like cooking our order is the only thing we can think of. This all took place around 5:20 on 11/02/2020 will be calling the BBB and Federal Trade Commission.** UPDATE: 11/10/2020.... Whoever writes their reply to bad reviews should know that the higher ups were very rude and nasty to me about this whole situation and told me my refund was done even though I still haven't gotten it nor has my bank seen any kind of refund. I have my bank doing an investigation. I will NEVER eat at a Checkers or Rallys ever again. You would think with so little places of operation here they would be nicer to their...

If I could give this Checkers more than five stars, I would without hesitation. My wife and I stopped in for what we thought would be a quick bite—but what we experienced was nothing short of a culinary blessing.

The wait time? Practically nonexistent. The burger? Cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful like it was crafted by someone who truly cares about the art of grilling. The fries? Freshly fried, hot, crisp each one a golden tribute to the gods of comfort food. The drinks? Ice cold, refreshing, and when I finished mine, they didn’t hesitate they offered me a refill without even being asked.

But the real showstopper? The strawberry cheesecake sundae. My God. It was divine. Perfectly mixed, just the right balance of creamy, sweet, and tangy. It didn’t taste like dessert it tasted like a memory I’ll never forget.

To the incredible team that made this experience unforgettable: Mary Lou, Wayde, Brandon, and Stephanie you four are heroes in your own right. Your warmth, efficiency, and care made this not just a meal, but a moment.

Tomorrow, the military calls me back to Illinois, but if I could come to this Checkers every day, I absolutely would. This place isn’t just a fast-food joint. It’s my new favorite spot, my last stop before duty calls, and a memory I’ll carry with me all the way back home.

I loved this checkers the only one I thought was good food and great and friendly place went there with my family around 4or 5 in the afternoon on the Saturday before Halloween to my surprise I ordered our food at the walk up window took a little while to get our food they were busy of course not a big deal I don't know if it was a manager or not but I think she was she opens the window were you get your food that nasty attitude disrespectful women threw my food to me out the wi down slammed the window as I was asking her for some salt and ketchup in my face never met this lady or never spoken to her either didn't know at all so I knocked on the window and ask her what her problem was and she did not even speak to me some boy opens the window to see what I needed I told him what she did no one tried to apologize for her or anything else and we all know how small checkers is and to top it off the food was cold and the nasty hamburger and fried I tried to eat I spent like 60 dollars on that mess so checkers is a big fat know for me it was the only one in Inverness FL...
