MOO-ville Creamery in Ionia "The Udder Store" — Restaurant in Ionia Township

This is by far the best ice cream place ever! They have a ton of flavors and kids love the ice cream and play area. It’s real cream and cheaper than Dairy Queen or even McDonalds for a small chocolate shake. I’ve never once met a rude or over stressed employee they are always happy and smiling. The bathroom is the biggest + for the mommy potting training heart. lol One stall in the women’s has an adult toilet and a kid toilet. I know you don’t think I’d state that in the review but just goes to show how kid/family friendly this place is! The playground can sometimes have trash but I blame other customers bc it’s usually a really clean place. Clean up after yourselves and keep this amazing place lovely for everyone! Also they are Christian based and have the cutest little gifts for special people in your life. We go here like once a week not kidding. My family and I really enjoy The Udder Store! It is closer to us than the Mooville farm in Nashville so we get a chance to enjoy more Mooville products directly from Mooville themselves. This location has a playground and indoor and outdoor seating. The playground doesn't have shade so just keep that in mind if it is a hot day.

My favorite feature when I have my young kids with me (and during the COVID-19 pandemic) is the drive through. We can get our milk and ice cream without unbuckling and rebuckling car seats and reducing both our exposure and the staff's exposure by staying in our car.

Drove our motorcycle from St. Johns to Ionia to check this place out on the recommendation of someone in our group and we're not disappointed to be sure. I had a donut ice cream sandwich with hot caramel sauce and the donut was a little stale like day old and the caramel sauce was barely warm but it was still enjoyable. A little more care and creating it will go long way for sure. Good experience and we will definitely go back again as it makes a nice ride.
