Iowa Donuts — Restaurant in Iowa

I do not stop here often becase I would definitely gain too much weight! (Food is wonderful).

On this particular occasion I went in for breakfast about 6:30 am. Around 11:00 am I get a call from my insurance company, of all things, asking if I was in the donut shop that morning. Although I found the question odd, I said that I was.

It turned out a credit card and debit card had fallen from my wallet and the owners posted something somewhere the insurance company saw it. They called me, I returned to the donut shop and got my cards back!

Now that is service above and beyond by both the donut shop and the insurance company. ...

I’ve been going since they’ve opened. I work nights so I’m usually there as soon as they open. The customer service amazing and everything that I’ve gotten is always fresh with the exception of my last visit. I ordered an apple fritter for me and donut holes for my son. I didn’t open my bag until I got home and when I did the fritter was as hard as wood and when I broke it in half my fingers were very greasy. It actually seems like it was left there from the day before. I’m here to plead with the owners and/or workers to go back to what you all were doing before which is making fresh items...

This place has really gone downhill. A lot of flys flying around the donuts, trash all over the ground, really dirty floors and counters. I could see a large carton of eggs in the back on top of the refrigerator half of it were cracked egg shells and the other were full eggs. Empty jug of milk just on the floor in the kitchen.
