Shake Shack Tustin Market Place — Restaurant in Irvine

Came in tonight for a shake. I loooove getting food here too, but I typically do Door Dash. This new location is super nice! I like the open design and everything is nice and new and clean.

Kennedy helped me tonight and she was SO SWEET! She said hi with a welcoming smile, which really made my experience feel extra pleasant. I know people can be tired, so I try to not expect enthusiasm and niceties (servers are people too, guys. imagine if you had to keep a smile on your face while people were constantly demanding things from you). However, Kennedy was really sweet, patient, and helpful. I asked her what her favorite shake was, she said strawberry! It sounded great but I wanted something a lil more extra. I asked her if, in her professional opinion, she thought banana pudding would be good with Oreos, and I got the affirmation I needed. Tbh even if she didn't think it would sound good and lied to me, I would have believed her. She's just that kind looking!

I wanted a banana pudding shake with Oreos and tried to order on the tablet. It wouldn't let me, so I went to the register with Kennedy.

As I'm writing this, Kennedy is WALKING the shake over to my table. I didn't have to get up and grab it myself?! (But obviously getting up is very normal and reasonable, especially for a fast-casual restaurant like Shake Shack).

Anywho, it's been a long time since I've written a review but figured I'd hop on here and sing Kennedy's praises while it was fresh in my brain. And now I have a written record of an interaction that positively impacted...

Manager looked me and my son up and down(like we didn't belong) Was not friendly nor was he helpful. I can tell the way he treated others vs. us. Just wanted to take the little guy out for a shake shack burger since we just visited one a couple days ago. Will be heading back to Huntington Beach location. Maybe they just need to work through the hospitality mind set. If I'm in the area again I'll just head to In and Out. At least I won't spend $48.00 for two burgers and...

I ate here last weekend to see what all the fuss was about. In-N-Out has nothing to worry about as far as competition. Shake Shack is overrated. They are way overpriced for what you get. Their fries are tasteless. The sauce on the burger is not that great. The only thing I will say is their Angus meat patty was tasty. Thin but tasty.
