MY FAVORITE! I have a hard time finding/trusting seafood joints but I can trust pacific catch with my life. They never fail to amaze me. I loved their steamed clams and I really really hope they bring it back or make it a regular menu item! The clams were fresh and suuuper big and juicy. Not to mention the garlic broth it was it was *chefs kiss*. I absolutely love the fresh seafood here- always extremely fresh and looks and tastes amazing. The fish and chips are the best I've seen in the area. The cod is so thick and fresh and the fries are yummy too! Their coleslaw always seem to be made fresh and not some refridgerated premade coleslaw kit. Their wagyu burger was great too- cooked to perfection and simple but tasty. Their salmon avocado burger was exceptional. The salmon was thick and also cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. Good amount of avocado and the sweet chili sauce was a perfect match! The team here is always very lovely and quick. The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and clean and the terrace area is beautiful! (Reuploaded because I accidentally deleted all my photos when I just wanted to add one more)

Per their website, “Pacific Catch is a West Coast Fish House dedicated to delivering high quality sustainable seafood.” The site also mentions that their diverse menu is served with Aloha-inspired hospitality which we personally experienced from our attentive server, Lexi, who went above and beyond. She enhanced our overall dining experience…give that woman a raise! I’ve enjoyed takeout from Pacific Catch on a few occasions in the past and it’s always been a delicious and healthier alternative. This was my first visit to their physical location in the Tustin Marketplace and I was impressed with the aesthetics of their restaurant interior which also included a destination patio and an open-air cocktail bar. We started with their calamari appetizer and my choice of entree was the Barramundi Sea Bass, Asian Herb Chimichurri style. Customers get their choice of two sides and I opted for the grilled asparagus and kimchi fried rice. The entire meal was and continues to be fresh, healthy and nutritious!

My wife and I generally enjoyed our first experience at Pacific Catch with friends, but our second visit has definitely locked it in as a favorite. The atmosphere inside is very fitting for the type of restaurant it is, but on both occasions the service can be a little slow (much better the second time though!) The plates are very full, and you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. It's not quite "caught-off-the-boat-this-morning" fresh, but the restaurant is much more upscale than those types of restaurants typically are. All of the fish entrees and styles we've tried are delicious and well-portioned, but I'd say the highlight is the kimchi fried rice. It's worth ordering just by itself, but make sure you at least get it as a side. The sticky ribs were a new try for us, and they were a great starter. Over all, this is absolutely a restaurant to look for if you're looking for light, refreshing, and upscale without breaking the bank too much.

shortly after sitting our server dropped off water, introduced herself and asked for drink request. Sianna was very polite and friendly.

We ordered a bottle of wine and a beer for the Birth day girls boyfriend. Since the idea of splitting 2 meals between the 4 of us was made, we thought 4 Appetizers would be a great way for us first timers to get a good feel of the PC's offerings.

Appetizer rundown:

Oysters: Came out with an elevated look. Oysters were well suited on the plate along with a couple of good sauces (according to the table)

Rainbow Crudo: looked fresh and colorful. Fish was cut thin and with care. Again, was told tasty and fresh also by the table.

Salmon Lover Roll: I really liked the flavor and freshness of it.

Sticky Ribs: Came with five. very tasty, tender and just the right amount of sauce.

Issue was, when dropping off the App's (Via runners) we were not asked if we needed anything else. So my wife went to the Bar for chopsticks and Soy sauce. That's when things started to hit the wall.

Taste of the appetizers were very good which left me with high hopes that the Fish and Chips would be as good also.

2nd Beer ordered took what I thought was along time (10 plus min.). Was impressed with B. keeping any comments to himself. However, when the meals came and the regular fries (requested well done) were not well done and were sweet potato fries, B. couldn't hold back his disappointment. I suggested this will get taken care quickly, Sianna apologized and agreed, regular well done fries would be out shortly.

After 10-15 minutes, Bob said "I'm done". Just than, fries were delivered, cold (as my wife put it) and not well done. It quickly turned to a comical scenario.

a littles less than 10 minutes later, another plate of fries showed up, as we in tandem said, got um, thank you.

Than another showed up to our laughter. runner apologized and said BTW, you received to wrong fries (Seasoned) to begin with. at this point we were having fun with how the turn of events went sideways shortly after appetizers.

Server asked "would be happy to leave them". We asked if they could take it to the family with younger adults a couple tables down from us. it worked out well.

I asked if the BD girl could get a lil candle on the desert we ordered. They were very happy to help out and I noticed it was comp'd on our check also.

As for my overall feel of this visit:

  1. Clear to us Sianna was overwhelmed (handling to many tables) during our visit. At times I noticed, both managers were helping out (often). The place was busy, throughout and during our 2 hour dinner.

This visit Pro's: *Restaurant has an open welcoming feeling. *Food was fresh and respectfully prepared. *Staff was friendly and polite.

Con's: *Felt it was difficult to respond to Request/issue in a timely fashion. *Appeared they were understaffed. *Prefer a choice of seating (especially when reserved ahead of time).

Final thoughts: This visit was a miss for me. This area reacts to off putting service by flocking to other restaurants, quickly.

Although a Saturday, the place was very busy during our visit with no chance of slowing down, after 8P when we left.

With that said, I'm guessing it was an off night. We will take a minute and make sure to stop...

Our experience was completely unacceptable. When we arrived at the restaurant, the outside temperature was 97°F. Despite the heat, doors, sliding walls, and windows in the entrance area, bar area, seating tables in the bar area were wide open and no AC . (Actually bar area from one side seams open all the time by construction design. We been there in the winter time and had to seat in the bar having coats on.) This situation affected about half of the restaurant--the bar and adjacent area-- and I estimate that the indoor temperature  was more than 100°F. All the guests we saw were sweating and appeared to be in discomfort. I walked into the further interior of the restaurant and can feel the existing AC there , and it was slightly cooler, around 82-85°F. This is where we had made our reservations online, choosing between a high-top table in the bar , a regular table, or a patio area. We arrived promptly at our reservation time of 6 PM but waited 10-15 minutes after giving our names. Eventually, they seated us at a high-top table in the bar, which we declined since it wasn't what we had reserved.  Next, they offered us a table on the patio, in the sun! We refused that option as well. When we asked about alternatives, we were told we would have to wait another 20 to 30 minutes to get a table in the cooler area . At that point, we had to leave. The way they were speaking with us was closer to rude than...

Alright everyone, I've lived in OC my whole life so I've pretty much tried just about everything around here. I came here for the first time on Friday to dine in. It was a little louder than I prefer at a restaurant but we had a great time nonetheless! Our server, Dom, was polite, helpful, and attentive. It was very busy and he managed our table very well so a big thank you to him! LOVE that the happy hour goes till 6 for us 9-5 folks to still be able to catch the tail end of it! Also love that they have a rewards program because I eat out a lot and this encourages me to come here over other fish spots. I don't know any other place that serves sushi and has a rewards program. Loved the food and atmosphere so much that I placed a takeout order last night (just a few days later) and it was once again a wonderful experience! I could tell they really put care into my order because all of my special requests were accommodated. I have absolutely zero complaints about this place so far. I've tried the spicy tuna roll, salmon lover roll, firecracker roll, salmon sushi taco, grilled yellowtail taco, and the fish and chips. All were delicious! My vegan gf even loves this place for their west coast bowl! This is officially my new fav spot in OC! Also appreciate that they have taken away the 3% surcharge! It just encourages me to order...
