I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred during our recent visit to Hudson House Las Colinas on September 4th. Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by a significant issue that I believe requires your attention.
During our visit, my wife and I ordered a meal that included French fries. Regrettably, we were unaware that the French fries were prepared in the same fryer as shellfish, which posed a severe allergy risk for my wife. As a result, she experienced a severe allergic reaction, including itching and a constrained throat.
Despite alerting our waiter about the situation and the allergic reaction my wife was experiencing , we were disappointed by the lack of immediate response from your staff. We expected that the restaurant would take appropriate measures to address the situation, ensure my wife's safety, and rectify the experience. A Chef came over and saw us yet did not say anything. We asked for the manager to be informed but never came over, and our waiter's response was to expedite the check and rush us out of the restaurant.
We were deeply dismayed by the lack of acknowledgment of the issue and the inadequate response from the restaurant. This incident not only put my wife's health at risk but also left us with a negative impression of the customer service at Hudson House Las Colinas.
We believe it is essential for a restaurant to prioritize the safety and well-being of its guests, particularly when it comes to handling allergies and dietary restrictions. We had hoped for a more considerate and proactive approach in addressing this incident.
We kindly request that you take this matter seriously and review your restaurant's protocols and training to ensure that incidents like this do not occur in the future. We believe that better awareness and responsiveness to allergy-related issues can significantly improve the overall dining experience for all customers.
We hope that this feedback will help you enhance the quality of service at Hudson House Las Colinas and prevent similar situations from happening to others in the future. We look forward to your response and any steps you plan to take to address this matter.
Thank you for your attention to this important...
Read moreI've debated on if I wanted to leave a review on this, especially since it's been months since it happened, but I feel like it's important to share this.
My boyfriend and I went here pretty often for Happy Hour or date nights and loved it. Food and drinks are great, good service, but the crowd has always been a little off. One night my boyfriend and I went for happy hour and sat at the bar, just to get a drink or two. We noticed that the two "gentlemen" behind us (in their 60s if I had to guess) were pretty inebriated and making inappropriate remarks about a younger girl (30s?) that was also at their table with them, but left early. It was weird and uncomfortable, but we ignored it and continued with our own business. At one point I was scratching my boyfriend's back and one of the men said "you sure are lucky" to my boyfriend. To me this is fine, but still weird because of the comments we heard before (I’m 23, and I was imagining that he’s going to say something inappropriate about me when we leave). He had said a couple more remarks about how he misses being young and told us to enjoy it now. We ended up getting the tab and kind of shrugging off the conversation, and when we got up to leave, the man touched my arm and said "you should be coming home with me". (Their table was very close to where we were at the bar, I had no choice but to walk around their table, near the men.) I was TERRIFIED of this comment and that he had the audacity to reach out and TOUCH me. This is inexcusable behavior.
I called Hudson House the next day to report what happened and to hopefully get this man banned from the establishment, but the manager reviewed the camera footage and said that he "only brushed your arm" and that it wasn't enough to call for any sort of action. I was speechless on the phone and had no idea what to say to defend myself. The manager totally dismissed me and essentially approved this nasty behavior. So sad because I will never visit this restaurant again, and it was so special to us, and then taken over with an extremely...
Read moreMy wife and I had a disheartening experience at Hudson House in Las Colinas on Christmas Eve. Our evening began positively with delicious oysters and well-made drinks. However, as soon as our entrees arrived, the night deteriorated. Under the mistaken belief that the kitchen closed at 8 pm (the restaurant stopped seating at 8 pm), the staff rushed us throughout our entire meal. After delivering our entrees, our server dropped the check on our table and said, "Can I get you anything for dessert?" This miscommunication led to further disappointment when my Shrimp Dynamite sushi was served extremely cold. Contrary to proper sushi serving etiquette, where sushi should be at room temperature, it seemed hastily refrigerated rather than at room temperature.
The apex of our dissatisfaction was our interaction with the General Manager. Instead of understanding and rectifying the situation, his approach was aggressive and dismissive. His lack of empathy and rudeness, especially when we raised concerns about being rushed and the improperly served dish, significantly marred our experience. The GM kept saying, "What do you want?... What do you want from me?" Trust me when I say we were not trying to get a discount or any part of our meal for free. Having been in the restaurant business, the best feedback you can get is from your customers. But he had yet to listen to my feedback. His lack of professionalism was astounding. I finally said, "I want you to leave our table and leave us alone." That is how bad his attitude was. I could not believe how poorly he acted to my wife and me.
Overall, what we anticipated to be a romantic Christmas Eve dinner turned into a frustrating experience, starkly contrasting with our previous positive experiences at the Hudson House's North Dallas location. If I were a stakeholder, investor, or managing partner of this location, I would call to see what happened with the dining service on Christmas Eve.
In summary: go to a different location. This location is currently not worth your...
