Jam & Toast - Irving Texas #brunch #wtfrenchtoast #frenchtoast #trxas #jamandtoast

It was a pleasant Tuesday morning breakfast at Jam & Toast! Since it's my birthday week, I decided to treat myself. The restaurant was fairly quiet, which was nice. I was initially offered a seat that wasn't quite my preference, but the staff member, Diana, was very accommodating and quickly found me a more comfortable spot. I ordered a caramel cappuccino, which was quite good and enjoyable. For my meal, I selected the chicken fried chicken, with scrambled hard eggs, cheddar cheese grits, and a waffle. There was a minor mix-up with the first plate, but the kitchen promptly corrected it, and the second plate was served with the correct order. The chicken was a bit thin but was seasoned reasonably well. Overall, Jam & Toast seems like a good spot with a pretty extensive and interesting menu offering a lot of variety. The service was attentive and friendly. I also appreciated the upbeat pop music playing and the open, airy atmosphere with big windows and an outdoor patio area. I had a positive experience and wouldn't hesitate to return. Diana was especially sweet and helpful. My apologies for the half eaten plate pic. I began eating before I remembered to take photos. Receipt for price point comparison.

Great place. Totally reccomend. I discover this place just recently and I am so pleased with the food and the service. However I have to say that at least on weekends, there is a wait and can be up to 30 minutes. Once I was there the food came up really fast and the portions are big enough for the price. The only inconvenience we had is that as it a very popular spot, we were kinda rushed to leave, but it is completely understandable considering it is a small place and everyone wants to eat here. Anyway, the food tastes great, I had the Huevos Rancheros and oh my God! They were so good, there is some pork under the eggs and I was completely satisfied by the time I finished them. The other picture has the Benedict which are also great. So please make yourself a favor and visit this restaurant which I'm sure will not disappoint.

I really wanted to like this place based on the great reviews! It was not horrible but not big ce either. Food is not flavorful; it’s basic breakfast fare that’s overpriced.

We arrived early Saturday morning so we were seated right away. However, by 10:30am, there was already a crowd of people outside waiting to be seated along with people waiting inside!

My husband and I ordered the Tuscan omelette and a basic entree of sunny side up eggs which came with 2 pancakes and sausage. We both ordered coffee. Total price NOT including tip was $42. We both said the same thing after we’d eaten…” We should’ve just gone to Waffle House!”.

Since this is 1 of 2 breakfast diners in this area, there aren’t other options nearby so this may explain the popularity of the place… because I honestly don’t get it.

Food is bland and basic. Coffee is ok, nothing you can’t make at home with your brew pot.

The waitstaff is not great, they’re pretty slow to wait on you even though they are fully staffed. 4-5 Waitstaff were milling around even though the restaurant was packed. They seemed in no rush to take orders, bring food, or coffee, etc.

If you want to have drop nearly $20 for a basic omelette and black coffee, then arrive by 10 am or be prepared to wait approximately 45min or so to be seated.

The place is in a strip mall, parking is plenty, the restaurant is small and there’s only 2 restrooms which stay continuously busy. Be prepared to wait by the restroom door if you need to wash your hands or use the facilities!

Save your time on a Saturday morning and your money… I suggest Waffle House. Honestly, any drive thru fast food breakfast would probably...

So I've been eating at Jam + Toast for years. This is only my 2nd experience at this location. The first was neutral. The thing is, every time I place a to go order, they ALWAYS verify the address/location before I place the order, and the Regent BLVD location never asks for payment up front (although I usually opt to do so out of convenience). This time they didn't, and my husband who doesn't pay attention, ordered here, gave his card number. The address and location was never confirmed until after the credit card number was taken (which they were VERY EAGER to collect up front payment...the other location allows me to pay when i get there, but I usually pay up front) and the order was placed. We asked for a refund. They were really making it sound like it was impossible to cancel the order. The manager came on the line. This sounded like the manager who was in charge of the OG restaurant on Beltline and 635 and we liked her. It was completely unexpected, but was she rude today! We were having to talk over her. She let us know the order was in process and the food would need to be thrown away. No regard for our request to cancel the order. I had to say, "That's fine. Then throw it away but refund the money to the card please. The location was NEVER confirmed until after payment was collected." We're over by Lewisville, order would be ready in 5 minutes...you want me to eat soggy food thats like 30 minutes old by the time I get there and then home? Way to show poor customer service....

BEWARE NOT WORTH GOING TO THIS LOCATION!!! After being seated we were asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for water no ice, and the waiter Bruno G told me that was not a drink. He said it in a dry joking way, it was not amusing, but regardless I told him I guess I won’t be having a drink today. When he brought out the water it had ice… Then my brother asked for Segreto (which the menu said Segreto hot coffee) Bruno looked at him and was like hot coffee? My brother said yes Segreto please. The waiter said, coffee, that’s coffee, coffee. So my brother said, can I have coffee? The waiter finally let it go, he wasn’t trying to be funny with the coffee, and we could tell he was irked. Bruno only came to our table to check how things were going once, when we were almost done with the food. Horrible service. My total was $17.25 and when I checked my credit card statement the total was $27.25!!! I vividly remember writing $2.75 for the tip and writing the total as $20.00. I was trying to think how that could have happened and I remembered that I left both copies of the receipt behind. I wrote the tip and total and signed one of them and assumed the other copy would go to the trash. Whoever did it, wrote the tip as $10.00 instead of $2.75. TAKE YOUR RECEIPTS. Don’t leave them behind or you will probably get charged more than what you wanted to pay!!! Never going to this location again. Horrible service...
