UPDATE: I posted the Avocado Toast review 2 years ago, I came back June 11th 2025 and below was my experience.

It was my daughters 3rd birthday and I decided to take her to IHOP to celebrate. I called ahead to ask if they could sing happy birthday — I was told no, but was informed I could download the app to get a free short stack of pancakes and free ice cream. So I signed up before we arrived.

When we got there, our server didn’t know anything about the birthday offer and had to get the manager. The manager explained that in order to get the free pancakes, I needed to have been signed up for at least 15 days, which was never mentioned during the phone call but okay whatever I let it go. He said he’d give us free ice cream, okay cool.

I ordered her a cupcake milkshake that NEVER came. When I reminded the server, he apologized but we still didn’t have any water either. At that point, we just ate our food without drinks. On top of that, we never received the free ice cream that the manager also mentioned.

They did end up singing happy birthday to my daughter when the food came out, which I appreciated since I was originally told they wouldn’t do it.

Overall, the service was disappointing. Between the miscommunication, missing items, and lack of attention to detail, I don’t see myself coming back again. We ordered our food and drinks. It started there the Male waiter was disrespectful, and said oh you're not ready well I'll leave until you can think. Later one of my sister finished drinking her coffee, she was waiting for a refill,but no one camd, we saw the waiter in a corner on his phone, and we HE felt he had to come back, and when he came to serve and ask if we were good, my sister asked him if can get more coffee,and he said drink your coffee slow because I dont want to keep refilling it my sister got really mad, later we saw that two groups of people arrived and ordered food, and twenty minutes later their food had arrived before us we were in shock because it had already been 30 mins and they got their food, we asked the manager why'd the food took so long and she said it will be on it's way,she was very nice but the waiter in the other hand was very disrespectful I wish he hadn't done anything disrespectful to us later the manager arrived with the food, and she asked if I needed water because I had finished it and I said yes and the waiter come and says why did you ask her for something, and I was in shock because he was yelling at us, and my mother said no please get away from us now, and my sister began to cry because she's black and were a bit Hispanic and she began to cry because the rest of the people were white and got their foood before us, and we've been to this IHOP for many years many many many years,and this has never happened before, and we wish he...

I frequently have my breakfast on every franchise of IHOP because I’m traveling around cross country but on this particular IHOP one of the tenders doesn’t treat me with respect I ask before I sit in the table and should have my breakfast. Let me use the bathroom to clean my face and she denied. She say that I cannot eat in the restaurant if I going to do that the bathroom is not part of the service customer to use I’m clean person. I never make a mess. I’m anybody I always leave more clean that I see it if a person tried toclean himself. for logic, it’s a clean person in all aspects. My hands and my face is part of my body and nobody can deny me to use the bathroom. I just wan to be clean before I sit in the table. I am not dirty. I am not look like homeless.
