Fitness Connection — Local services in Irving

Joining is really easy. Aislinn helped me and my coworker with the process. I can’t wait to lose this belly fat and bulk up. 😁

This is an update. Fitness Connection is okay, but DO NOT apply with the fitness coach. There is no stability. They want me to pay for more lessons when my coach only worked with me for 3 sessions. I’ve already paid for 6. You CAN NOT cancel unless you pay off the remaining balance. I’m not paying a company for services I’m not using. Straight up. Now. They said I can log on to my website and see what new trainer I have next. They never gave me a website or login. They try to charge you every other day. I’m fed up with the HARASSMENT, and might need to go to another gym. I can say. They allow this company to function there so there is some sort of responsibility on Fitness Connections part. I haven’t had the motivation to go back but twice since all this started. Might not even need a gym membership.

Update: I went to cancel my membership and it went horrible. The Fitness connection manager was sweet and cute too but they charged me for my late fees and next months payments. She brought in the Elevation Fitness manager to try and see if we could come up with a solution and he was completely rude. At first he told me that they don’t harass you for payments and then he tried to blackmail me saying they are going to keep calling and bothering me until I pay. Very rude. He also told me that they didn’t have any management at the time so that’s why my scheduling wasn’t fixed. The guy literally quit and didn’t even update me. HORRIBLE experience. They don’t care about the customers. Only the money. I will be calling the BBB and the FTC.

Also. If you think this 3.7 rating is bad. On yelp they have a 2.0 rating. The gym itself would be better if they let the shitty coaching company Elevate fitness go because I have a funny feeling that’s why they have such poor ratings. Do not go here unless you want to be more stressed! GO...

To anyone reading this… here’s what you need to understand before you sign up

Fitness connection is a CHEAP - CORPORATE - FOR PROFIT gym

Expect the customer service to be shitty, it’s possible you could be over charged (even after you cancel) and because it’s so cheap expect it to ALWAYS be packed with crowds no matter what time or day you go. The cheap price attracts a lot of business. Sometimes it can get so packed that you can’t do the workouts you want to do & it can be frustrating as hell

If you’re going to cancel, I wouldn’t even bother going to the front desk to fill out a cancel form. Just get a new debit card so they don’t charge you. If you have your account number on file with them, call your bank & have them change your account number. I know it’s inconvenient but TRUST ME they WILL charge you if you don’t pay attention & it can be difficult to get a refund

As for the equipment…. a lot of the reviews are correct, certain equipment & machines can go months without maintenance. There’s a lot of meat heads that go to FC & they’re ego lifters who like to drop and slam the weights for absolutely no reason which damages the equipment & ruins the experience for everyone else. But then again, FC has ALWAYS had cheap machines & equipment so I can see how it gets easily broken.

If you notice, Fitness Connection locations are opened in low income areas with the highest traffic areas they can find. So it’s not like you can go to a different location that’s “better” they’re all the same lol

That should conclude my review it seems like I’ve covered everything 🤔 it would be funny if the “owner” responds to this and be like “we’re sorry that we have not met your needs & expectations, your satisfaction is most important to us” blah blah blah you know 😂

I recently visited the Fitness Connection Irving Center, and while I found the gym facilities to be generally satisfactory, there were a few notable concerns that impacted my overall experience.

The gym itself is well-equipped with a variety of machines and equipment, providing ample options for different workout routines. The atmosphere is lively and motivating, with staff readily available to assist with any questions or concerns.

However, my experience was dampened by the cleanliness of the ladies' locker room and bathroom facilities. Despite the gym's overall cleanliness, I found the locker room to be subpar in terms of cleanliness maintenance. The bathroom, in particular, was noticeably dirty, which was disappointing given the importance of hygiene in a fitness environment.

For a facility where memberships are paid, cleanliness should be a top priority. It's essential for the well-being and satisfaction of members, as a clean environment promotes a more enjoyable and comfortable workout experience.

While the Fitness Connection Irving Center offers a nice array of amenities and equipment for fitness enthusiasts, there is definite room for improvement in maintaining cleanliness standards, particularly in the ladies' locker room and bathroom areas. I hope that management takes this feedback into consideration to ensure a more pleasant experience for all members...
