What a wonderful find is this family owned gem with the best dishes of this kind in all of DFW. We ordered several entrees but the star was the lettuce wraps! The egg rolls, pad thai (with shrimp) and drunken noodle (with shrimp) was good too but those lettuce wraps are worth coming every week for. Complimentary water as you enter was a nice and welcomed touch as it was 100 again today. They have a small market to the right of the dining room that sells ready-to-go take home food in walk-ins. The place is spotless with about 8 tables to dine in. You order at the counter but they also have table service to insure you have what you need and to explain dishes as they are served. You pick your level of spice too from 0 to 5. We got a 4 and it did have a kick and we grow super hot chilies and can handle the heat but heat it did for sure have. The music was a nice level for background and the tunes were pleasant. They have an open kitchen so you can watch them prepare your food if that's your thing. Super fresh and made to order when you order. Go support local small family business! ...
Read moreFound this place on my way home from work. Sometimes hard to find Laos food in Dallas and glad I found this place. Have a lot of Laotian friends and this is authentic food. The staff were so nice and friendly, clean sitting area, and on time (I ordered online takeout). Got riblets, chicken wings, pad Thai, pad see ew, sweet and sour fish, and papaya salad. Decent sizes and very fair prices. Really felt like a fresh, home cooked meal. As the other reviews said- be careful of the spice level. A Laos 3 spice level is an American 5 level. Has a refrigerator/freezer section with cooked foods that you can store at home when your craving kicks in. Small selection of packaged foods and some vegetables. Highly recommend. Will...
Read moreI was in Arlington on a work conference and since my brother lives in Dallas, I decided to visit with him. He took me here and swears it is the best Lao food he's had in the States ever. I was doubtful because all the places I had been to were just a disappointment. We ordered the gang nom Mai, sausage, and papaya salad and sticky rice. To my surprise, Everything was perfect!! Tasted just like my mom's! The bamboo soup had all right spices and I just stuffed myself with the sausage and rice. They even had the real Lao stuff like moke pa and laab. Yummm! I highly recommend this place and I will always make a stop here when...
