The food here is delicious. Saw this place before passing by when I would go to Sam’s. We googled reviews and it had decent reviews so we decided to give it a try. My husband and I ordered the orange chicken, dumplings, vegetable soup, & sweet and sour kids meal. Orange chicken is slightly crunchy, sweet, & spicy. Sooooo DELICIOUS! Only thing I wish that the rice to orange chicken ratio was greater. Has only two small scoops of rice. Wish it came with a bigger rice amount. The dumplings are delicious too. They are fried- not sure if they have them steamed. All I asked was for the dumplings the person didn’t give me an option. Next time I’ll have to ask. I had left overs and I enjoyed the flavor then. They tasted better to me 😂 Vegetable soup was ok had a little bit of flavor but other than that it was very plain. Has mushrooms, broccoli, peas, & carrots. I got it for my toddler. I just fished out the brócoli, let it cool and let her eat it. Didn’t taste the sweet and sour chicken but it came with a wonton and egg roll and I did eat those and they are absolutely FIREE! I will be ordering wontons on the side next time or eat my kids 😂 Never write reviews bc they are a lot of work for me but this restaurant deserves it. Recommend this place. I was iffy about it bc there was never any cars it seemed empty but then I realized everyone orders to go. Owner was swamped with take outs and that’s why there’s never anyone there. PS they run out of the hot and sour soup. I bet it’s fire too. Couldn’t taste it bc when I ordered it was sold out already and it was pretty early 💔 And next time I will take pictures. Like I said I wasn’t thinking of writing a review bc I never do, but next time I will add pictures because I will...
Read moreRoyal Chopstick used to be a reliable spot for good food with generous portions. However, my recent experiences suggest a significant decline in quality and service. While the potential for a good meal is still there, it comes with a major caveat: you must be explicit with your order. This means clearly stating your desired spice level, confirming ingredients, and other preferences. If you don't, you might be in for a surprise. My most recent order, chicken noodles, was a complete disaster. Despite paying extra for additional eggs, both the chicken and the eggs were practically nonexistent. It was incredibly frustrating to receive a "chicken" noodle dish with no chicken, and to have to hunt for the few strands of egg that were present (when you take a Togo order and are not in a place of returning, as you are already miles away, so do check your order before pickup). This is a stark contrast to how things used to be, and it signals a concerning shift in their quality control. Beyond the food, the overall atmosphere has also soured. The staff often seem to have a judging demeanor and their responses can be unhelpful. This kind of attitude detracts from the dining experience and needs to be addressed. While the portions can still be good, the inconsistency in food preparation and the uninviting staff make it hard to recommend. I truly hope they can turn things around and return to the quality and service they...
Read moreThis is my goto place for good Chinese food (has been for years). I used to have it almost once a week or at least every other week when I worked nearby. I don't live close, so I don't get it as much, but when I'm in the area - I'm definitely dropping in! Everything is always cooked to order; hot, fresh & tasty😋 The cooks definitely know what they are doing😉. Lots of places fell off in quality & taste post-Covid, but they have remained consistently as good as they have always been for years prior. The dining area is always bright & clean...and, the two ladies who work the front are always friendly, fun & helpful answering all my 1000 questions about the menu. Plus, I have always seen the two ladies at the front, along with 2/3 of the cooks for years - they are staples, which may explain why everything has stayed so consistent throughout the years. My favorite dishes are #1 - the shrimp fried rice, the shrimp spring rolls, the combination lo mein, General Tso's chicken (extra crispy, light sauce, w/ a little heat), sesame chicken, green beans w/ light brown sauce + garlic, egg drop soup....& I've tasted other dishes which have been tasty as well. One of the only things I've had that I wasn't a fan of is the chicken wings - they used to be everything, but I think they changed the type of wings they...
