Five Guys — Restaurant in Jackson

This Is sort of a weird review, but in this current climate you have to be aware of how things are. So first, I applied to work at this location and was interviewed… and to me I thought everything went well. Later in the day after the interview, a male manager contacted me and we spoke briefly. At the time, I was literally working out the rest of the two weeks notice from my former employer…and this is where it got weird. The man told me to contact him on Sunday, in which I asked what time should I call, text , or whatever…he said anytime basically. Interview and phone call was on this past Wednesday. Thursday afternoon, he calls me but I’m at work so I couldn’t get back to him then but he didn’t leave a voicemail and we didn’t get to speak. Now here is where the confusion just blew me. I contacted him Sunday to let him know I accepted the job offer and my time with my former employer was now up, so therefore I’m ready and excited. Y’all…. This man told me he spoke to me and I never came to onboarding. Huh? I was CONFUSED, like you told me to contact you on Sunday to let you know that I’m ready. He never mentioned an onboarding and we literally only spoke once. So yeah, It was weird to hear I basically don’t have the job anymore for something I didn’t know about. Plus I don’t think the man even wanted me there, so now I’m back in...

Unsanitary. Employees with enormous stringy weaves without hair nets. Weave swinging around the food. Employees haven't changed their gloves in the 25 minutes I've been waiting for my food. Touching doors, wiping covered hands on their aprons, leaning with gloved hand on prep tables handling pens, repeatedly and unnecessarily touching the same burger and bun wrapping and unwrapping and re wrapping the same burger and taking things away and adding other things to it. A complete cluster. Another employee who was the only one who did change his gloves, when he did, sweat poured out of his gloves onto the floor in front of where I was waiting, then went and did NOT wash his hands. Instead of using soap and water to clean his hands, he went to the sink and got some paper towels and just wiped at the sweat. And then struggled to put new gloves on his sweaty hands. The is food all over the floor and they are just walking on it. They are walking around in circles staring at the orders and each other clueless. After 30 minutes, when I finally received my food, I threw it in the trash and walked out. I will never come here again. The health department needs to inspect this place on the evening shift. 5 guys corporate needs to inspect this place and fire the...

Do not be in a rush, if you decide to eat here. Everything is made to order, fresh and is worth the wait , if you're an impatient person, have a different attitude when coming into this location, the staff doesn't deserve your attitude. Definitely some of the freshest ingredients with the fresh fries cooked every time. Great place to just grab a classic burger. But I was very disappointed to find out this location does not have their milkshake. I was very eager to try it knowing that I saw some reviews on it. all to find out that this location does not have theirs. Felt like I was at McDonald's lol The only other complaint I would have is if you order fries for delivery or to go they tend to get soggy quick, I wish that the restaurant would find ventilated to-go boxes so the condensation doesn't make their fries soggy , or make them extra crispy. But with the Cajun seasoning, the fries always have flavor. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Overall a very good place for a summer burger. For...
