My family and I went to your restaurant tonight. Got there at 5:30pm. Wasn't immediately greeted by anyone. Finally after seeing two waitresses buzzing around for a few minutes, one finally approached us and a daddy-daughter date couple that was also waiting. She sat us both in the booths beside each other and rushed off. Didn't ask for drinks or anything. I then see the "manager" approach the Daddy-daughter and ask for their drinks. Didn't come to us. Brought their drinks back. The whole time the waitress who sat us is telling the "manager" that she has somewhere to be and was supposed to get off at 5. The "manager" says " I'm sorry, but you're can't leave until she gets here". The waitress replies, " yea, well don't know what to tell you". Mind you, this is all happening right beside us at the daddy daughter table, because again, we have not been acknowledged past the seating. Finally, the "manager" asks us what we want to drink. My son, ordered a lemonade with some kind of flavoring. The "manager " Is literally dead pan-no expression or hospitality at all, acted like she didn't understand him, so he repeated himself twice. I had coffee and my other two party members had water. We waited another 15 minutes before they were even given to us. I had just uttered to my husband that maybe we should leave, this looked like it was not going to get any better from here. She comes over with our drinks as soon as I finished my statement. She informed me that someone didn't make coffee and that I was going to have to wait some more. Finally! Our waitress, who seated us and was supposed to be off work by now, came to our table told us she was sorry and she was overwhelmed. I appreciated that moment of honesty, after listening to her "manager" not take action or responsibility of any situation and completely give off the vibe that she would rather eat rocks then do a job that required being nice to people and take care of customers. I don't think this is the right career path for her and I will further explain. After now all members of my party's drinks were completely bone dry and we had barely placed our order, my husband told the manager that we wanted to cancel the order and pay for our drinks and leave. She acted like she had no idea why we were upset and why we said we were leaving due to not obtaining any service. She said, "your order is literally in the window". I said "there's no way we ordered 5 minutes ago". She said, "exactly!" I was dumbfounded. She asked if we wanted it To-go. And I told her no. She then proceeds to tell me she's calling her boss and throws a tantrum in the kitchen for all to hear that all of the food is trash because we are in the wrong. I'm sorry this woman is the face of your business. She has no class and zero customer service skills. We are not fussy people, I promise you. But from the interaction I've had at this establishment, I will never return here. I hate to say this is the first bad customer service issue I've had here before, but usually it's from a waitress. Please consider a secret shopper in your future to see how this woman runs your business while you're out. She should had taken that conversation with the employee elsewhere and should not have treated your guests as one of her emplyees. The only thing I want to put out here is I am truly sorry to the daddy-daughter date at this location tonight. They were on their way to a dance and I hope this event did not ruin...
Read moreOur food was excellent! My husband tried the tres leches pancake breakfast deal that was sweet! I ordered a tasty spicy meal from the menu! However, our service was awful!!! We were put in a tiny booth at first. We always sit together so we were moved after only a few minutes as we didn't have room beside each other. Our new waitress was a familiar face that had worked there for quite some time. She was training a new waitress. The new waitress was not talkative or polite at all & did not listen to anything we said. She didn't bring napkins, creamer, sugar, ketchup, coffee, silverware, or to go boxes. Neither the long time waitress or the new waitress provided good service. We constantly had to ask others for assistance with items we needed...coffee, creamer, sugar, ketchup, syrup, etc. Our order didn't come out correctly (although we were charged for extra items we ordered...we didn't receive them). Another server was rolling silverware behind our heads singing off key loudly & talking about things we had no interest in. We had to wait to get a parking space, a table, & to check out. For what?!? Poor service & a not so good atmosphere with tight seating, being moved, being called love birds for sitting together with my husband & mate since childhood, a screaming child, & staff that don't need to be singing! Every time we have gone here there has been some kind of issue. We love the food...but is it really worth the wait & other issues?!? I will definitely be going to a different restaurant next month when we make our monthly trip to the area. I'm so disappointed! It shouldn't be such a mess! They have an opportunity to make a lot of money & have happy customers but choose to hire rude people & provide poor service. I doubt I ever go back unless my husband wants to because...
Read moreIf I could give it no stars, I would. We were seated quickly, so 1 star. Our server was horrible! She took our drink orders, and was gone for over ten minutes. It was so bad, other servers came over to take our order, but we were trying to be patient. I ordered a chocolate shake, and it was not anywhere near what was pictured. It was in a much smaller glass, and had no flavor. She then forgot the second drink. There was only two of us. Moving on... Our food order was incorrect. She forgot to bring the salad dressing for the salad that she also forgot. We had to keep asking for her, to get the items we had ordered. At some point, the manager apparently felt that he needed to come over, but offered no apologies, and argued about the shake being in the wrong glass and that it was much smaller than depicted. The only time our server could be found, was after she delivered our check, which was right after delivering our food. Then she hovered and kept checking to see if we had stopped eating long enough to pay. The lettuce in my salad was brown and wilted, the onions looked like they had been in the refrigerator too long, and the french fries were so overcooked, it was like eating potato chips. The chicken sandwich was amazing though, so hats off to the kitchen staff on that. People that had arrived after us had their meals and had left before we were ever served! By far, the worst dining experience in Jackson, TN., Waffle House would've been better. And for the price, we could've eaten at Casey Jones and left happy...
