Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Jackson

Mediocre in all categories. Maybe it was the timing or just a bad day for the crew. Maybe this is the norm. My first experience at this LJS. Were out of a lot of items between 7:30pm and 8pm. No Cole slaw, no salmon, no corn. I ordered a super sampler and it was short shrimp. Hush puppies and fries were dark and had a taste of burn and I didn't even want fries. My fish looked like the top was cut off, my crab cake looked old and was still cold in the center, and chicken was very small. My friend ordered salmon tacos, but settled for fish tacos since there was no salmon and an order of cheese bites. After I pay, I check the receipt and notice being charged for a fish taco meal. So I wait for the cashier. She ignores me. Her attention was on her man friend and kids and getting their orders done right, She then goes back there to make their food personally, beside her manager, that I guess had been on her break, because she was walked up eating. I knew it was her boss because she called her 'boss lady.' She then takes the lady, that came in behind a while after me, order. From the kitchen window. After she serves her family food, she comes to ring up the lady. Ignored me, even though she can see that I haven't moved and am obviously seeking her attention. She goes back to finish packing my order without acknowledging me. When she brings it, I addressed my issue of being rung up for A taco meal and only wanted the entree. She explains, "It only comes in a meal." Now I'm wondering why she didn't sub the fries for cheese bites. Before I can inquire and ask for my cup, she goes to talk to her man. If I wasn't on my 30 minute lunch break and didn't have any more time to wait, I would have chosen a refund and gone...

I started this review at 8:55pm on a Thursday. I sat in the drive thru for 10 min prior to pulling up to the window due to no one saying anything thru the speaker. A young man was at the window counting a drawer down. He said they were closed?? Google is not always right but I told him it said closing time is 10. He got visibly upset and said no this location closes at 9pm. I am not good at math but I drove up & sat for 10 min, pulled to window and then drove to different restaurant to eat. That's when I started this review of the worst experience I've had at any Long John Silvers restaurant, I waited for nothing while they closed at least 15 min early. Doesn't matter I was seriously wanting some fish & chicken, they got to get home to fortnite.. was a manager even on shift? Who closes an entire...

Can you give a negative star? Because that is literally what they deserve. We haven't want been to LJS in at least 15 years. We thought, hey let's try them today! Well that was a big mistake! They literally had 2 people running the restaurant... and I am not exaggerating because the woman at the window told us so! As you can imagine the wait for our food was so loooonnnng!
