To begin with this is a difficult location to access, with the driveway being uphill and difficult to distinguish from the drive thru next door. It is in a congested area. We dined there early on a Sunday evening with several other adults with children. Prominently displayed was a sign that said kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. My 11 year old son was famished, me not so much so we decided he would eat the adult burrito and I would eat the steak and cheese quesadilla from the kid's menu. Going through the cafeteria-style line, the food did not look very fresh. I avoided the guac and beans because of this. I was pleased to see cilantro and fresh lime. At the cash register, the check out lady originally rang up the entire group on my ticket. I then told her it was just my son and I. Another worker came and insisted on charging me full price for both items because I was eating the kid's quesadilla! I just paid it and didn't complain, but will not eat here again. I did not like the chips. My friend said hers were stale and was appalled that I was charged full price for the kid's quesadilla. Someone else in our group said the coke machine wasn't working properly. The worst part of all was the food temperature!!! That was scary, the quesadilla I got was simply room temperature, even though I ordered steak(which came out of a pan that should have been hot!) and they had put it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday, a pharmaceutical rep for our company decided to cater our lunch and placed an order with Moe's. The order was taking an awfully long time to arrive, so someone called to see what was going on and was informed that the order was mistakenly delivered somewhere else. Supposedly, the "driver" delivered the food elsewhere and either has no idea or doesn't remember where he dropped it off!! A replacement order would have taken at least 30 more minutes to complete, so the rep chose to cancel the order altogether. The issue is not that we did not get the food, as we can fend for ourselves and get lunch. The part we cannot comprehend is this "driver." Who has the job of a DRIVER but has no sense of where they have been? Whether or not he/she had 1, 2, 5, or 10 orders to deliver, you should at the minimum have a general idea of where you have been and where you delivered a very large order of food!! If the company is not using some kind of system to have parties sign for their delivery, they really should consider this. Also, if the company is not requiring their driver(s) to enter the delivery addresses into a GPS system, they should consider this as well. There is no reason that they should not be able to determine who received food that did not belong to them! Our only final hope is that our rep receives her refund for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI walked in and there was no one in sight. Eventually a couple of male employees appeared out of the back and took my order. All the food in the warming pans looked dry and old. I chose the freshest looking items for my tacos and nachos. Proceeded to check out and the employee who made my order has to get a manager to complete the sales portion. (Evidently they couldn't handle money or taking payments.) The food was so bad...I took two bites and threw the rest away. Also the restaurant was extremely dirty; there were bags of garbage by the entrance. I was traveling at the time so I didn't immediately check my bank account. When I returned home I checked my bank account and I had been charged twice. Two separate transactions totalling about 45.00 were drafted from my account. (My order was exactly $20.81) I'm sure I'll eventually get the money refunded, but this was unnecessary. I just want to warn people to avoid this place especially if you're from out of town. You may be used to a Moe's that is actually run well (I am...the Knoxville location is great.) I should have trusted my first instinct and gone to Chipotle. (They were only accepting online orders because they didn't have enough staff so I didn't want to add to...
