We showed up at 4:30-party of six adults as we were going to a show at 7:00-plenty of time- so we thought:
let me say 2 things: 1-we have eaten here before and was very satisifed 2-i have a degree in hospitality from Cornell University-so i know of what I speak.
Everything seemed ok at the start- the squid appetizer was quite good. although there should be teneticles in the mix on this dish .For a restaurant that positions itself as upscale and creative, that’s not acceptable.
the wedge was tasty-blue cheese dressing really nice, but why put some pieces of standard (not choice) beef as part of the presentation, sitting naked in the corner of the bowl .That’s very unconventional—and arguably a mismatch in both flavor and texture.
I ordered the crispy chiken- that was a mistake. The crispy chicken was anything but — the skin was soft, the meat was dried out, and the accompanying bok choy was so over cooked, looked like something that cat regurgitated.
One person in the party ordered the pizza- the service person said it was the best-we heard from friends the pizza was pretty good. They brought it out, the dough was still soft (doughy).
Another person in the party has allergy to onion and advised the server accordingly. That's an important (and serious) detail to include. An allergy being ignored isn’t just a mistake; it’s a health risk.
We sent back the fried green tomatoes (onion), to be corrected- never to be seen again.
Oh , it gets better , it is now about 5:35 the other five adults have already eaten , picked at thier food, and after several requests, the person who had to send back the fried green tomatoes- had ordered a grilled piece of salmon- with nothing else. the salmon finally shows up- on a dessert plate - zero presentation. oh and lets not forget after waitng an hour+- the salmon was raw in the middle- and i mean raw.
We had to chase down the waitress and involve the manager, that speaks volumes about both the service and how seriously (or not) our concerns were taken.
they told us they would deduct the green tomatoes and the salmon- wow- how nice- considering they were never eaten. how about just doing the right thing- a round of drinks or something - a slice of pie.
They told us they would give us some gift cards so we could come back- that was nice i guess- but had to ask for the gift cads when we were chekcing out - only to be told, you are not receiving it because you were “in a rush”? we dont have time-
so - despite the trendy atmosphere and promising menu, BB’s fell short in almost every key area—poor service, ignored allergy requests, inconsistent and underwhelming food, and a lack of accountability. I had hoped for a great meal but left frustrated and disappointed. I would never go back and cannot recommend this restaurant.
So, BB's restaurant, is a statistic you should keep in mind-if you want to play in this area of business .
One unhappy customer will share their negative experience with up to 11 other people, potentially damaging your reputation and losing future business. In this case there were six adults-...
Read moreBB's is consistently exceptional. I have never had anything short of an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food is always outstanding, with each dish hitting the mark. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere creates the perfect setting for a delightful brunch, lunch, or dinner experience.
Let's talk about their desserts – they are absolute dream-inducers. On two separate Sundays, I invited friends to join me for lunch after Sunday service, introducing them to BB's for the first time. Without fail, each person left impressed and became a lifelong customer. Even I wonder if I'll be included in their return visits, as BB's continues to live up to its reputation.
As someone who requires gluten-free options, I am delighted that BB's offers an array of choices for me. On this visit, I relished the warm goat salad without the croutons, a truly delicious dish. In the past, I have also enjoyed their dangerously good gluten-free pizza. But the highlight was the GF caramel brownie, served with a generous scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. I attempted to practice self-control and only eat half, but the treat was too irresistible to resist. Before I knew it, I had devoured the entire bowl. So, a piece of advice: if you plan to indulge in their desserts, do so with caution. One bite or half of a serving will surely not be enough once you start.
In addition to their delectable menu, BB's boasts a full bar and a skilled bartender who concocts drinks that are simply exceptional. The overall experience at BB's is perfect for a girls' night out, a romantic date night, or even a small party celebration. Just be mindful of indulging too much, as stopping yourself from eating the entire dessert might prove to be a challenge.
I highly recommend BB's as a dining destination. The consistently great food, excellent service, and overall ambiance make it an ideal choice for any occasion. But I must warn you, proceed with caution – the temptations at BB's can be quite...
Read moreDate night this week was at bb's restaurant and bar. We gave the overall rating an 8/10. Service was by far a 10/10. Our server was excellent and truly knew how to pace service. I even asked for a glass of petite sirah to be brought with my steak and it hit the table about 1.5 mins before entrees hit the table. Our water glasses also never went empty.
Appetizers- 9/10. We enjoyed the shrimp lollipops that were loaded with flavor. We also got the stuffed mozzarella bruschetta. Was a little garlic heavy but not the end of the world since I like garlic. They also did bring around a puff cheesey bread which was great and paired well with the butter.
Entrees-7/10. I got the ribeye served with crab and shrimp loaded potato with a chipotle sour cream sauce and broccolini. They did an excellent job cooking the steak to a perfect medium rare. The steak was pretty mid when it came to flavor (I added a bit of salt to assist) and was nothing special for the price tag of $52. However, that crab and shrimp potato was outstanding and the highlight of the dish. We also got the pistachio crusted pork chop which I thought had good flavor and paired well with the chutney on top.
Dessert-10/10. Apparently BB’s is well known for its dessert case and I can see why. We got the cake tour and had all of the items explained to us. We got the German chocolate slice and carrot cake slice. They were outstanding. A baker drops by desserts daily. I will say the selection was great and it was so hard to choose what to get.
Overall the food tasted fresh and we enjoyed our visit. We also had good cocktails here- if you are a martini drinker this is a good spot. It is a little bit smaller inside than I expected and can appear to be a little cramped with the table layout but we will be back again. Was a good little...
