Captain D's — Restaurant in Jacksonville

The General Manager Sherika was beyond rude because they are using expired unsweetened tea and serving to customers. There was no label on the tea container with the date , time, and expired time as required per health and safety standards. Because I complained about the old tea I was served. Sherika threw all of my food away, untouched, and gave me a refund. Sherika then proceeded to lie and say I walked in with an attitude. Sherika was no where around when I came in. The employee was waiting on a couple and then a couple of sisters were next. I walked in and sat down waiting patiently and quietly. When the employee finally did speak she rudely yelled wait and took the sisters the first couple their food. The employee asked me for my order three times and each time she would play with papers around the register and not ring anything up. When the employee asked me for the third time what I wanted I spoke louder thinking maybe she has not heard me clearly. She then told me I owed $27.40 I asked why so much. Sherika then appeared and said I got her. Read my order to me and then told me my total was $23.40. I said that sounds better. So according to Sherika because I questioned the incorrect total given to me and I refused to drink the expired tea I walked in with an attitude. I do not support businesses with rude employees. I haven’t been in a CaptN D’s since I was a child and had been meaning to visit this location for quite sometime. My son has recently been hankering for a Shrimp Plate, so I gave it a go this Friday afternoon!! As expected, all out Busy as can be expected, however that was of no consequence and the juice was in fact worth the squeeze! This restaurant should be commended for exceptional customer service and phenomenal food! Justus is the only name on the receipt. The young woman who greeted me works very well under pressure and welcomed me as promptly as would be possible in that situation. ( line around the building and 5 on deck at counter) She took my order and was very attentive as I read my rather larger list off, repeating to confirm my order! All the while, friendly and cool as a cucumber even with the trail of frenzied partially starving guest following. As this is happening I see every one there is hustling, I mean really moving, and all in sync. It was a ballet, live and in person. The teamwork i witnessed made me envious of my own retail store. Third time getting food from this location. Never been to any other location. 1st I went to the location to order. Food was delish so I ordered for lunch at work another time and got food poisoning. Not only did I get sick but another coworker who ordered the same as I did got sick and that was the big fish sammich meal. This was about 5 months ago. Never wrote a review as I was just too disgusted. Fast forward to yesterday, ordered delivery again giving it a second try because the fish sammiches are tasty. But this time I got catfish which was good. My same coworker who got sick before from the big fish meal ordered it again and after 2 bites noticed that the fish wasnt cooked thoroughly. And the fries were barely cooked. They were cold, soggy and some were even translucent smh!!! Bye bye money!!! He began getting nauseous but we were able to counter the possible poisoning with natural remedies as he had already began to get the bubble guts.
