Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Really damn sad to see how far this Dairy Queen has sunk over the last few years. Didn't even bother checking to see why it cost me $14 to treat my mother to a medium soft serve vanilla cone and me a small chocolate shake. I am guessing they know that if they make you wait 45 minutes for 2 small items like that, you will be too annoyed to bother asking why your receipt does not show what you paid for. Normally I would say no, but in this case, it was definitely easier to just drive away and throw these disgusting items in the garbage then debate with these people why I paid so much for such Petty tiny horrible food items. I know this Dairy Queen location has never been really that good, all the way back to when the woman with the two young daughters ran it for 10 or 15 years, from like late 80s to mid-90s. But at least with them as bad as the food was it was a pleasant experience because they were a bunch of characters. Now, with the place being so damn filthy, and the employees so indifferent, brazen about how little they care, and just outright rude. Now this place is just an outright nightmare. I won't even go into specifics about the filth. I'll just say, proceed with great caution.

Not just caution for your internal organs, but for your wallet as well.

I honestly hate having to post a bad review on this, but I absolutely had to.

I am confident that if they do not close soon due to theft related charges, the health department will surely close the doors on this establishment once and for all. And for the well-being of everyone in Jacksonville's SouthSide, I hope it happens soon.

My husband & I are regular customers of this place. Ordering: a gentleman with an Arabic tattoo on his arm looked as about as enthused as a rock to be there. I attempted to order the triple truffle, but he snippedly stated they didn’t serve it anymore. So I asked about other flavors he did his hands like in a gesture of the lady on the wheel of fortune when she displays something by the way, rudely. So we ordered. While waiting I asked what his tattoo meant he said a name in Arabic, I was trying to make small talk (he acted like it was such a secret). Then he took the payment, there was apparently a problem, but he said nothing. He uddered something in Arabic and the other guy told him to try another machine. He tried again and this time told us the machines were down & asked if we had cash. We told him not enough to pay for the order what should we do. He pointed across the street & told us to get cash from the atm there. My husband said our ice cream would be melted by then. The gentleman said nothing. So my husband & I proceeded to go get the cash, but the gentleman was so snippy & so rude & it was such an inconvenience with traffic & getting the cash that we decided not to go back for the order. Needless to say we won’t be back ever again. It’s funny because when we came it used to be a lonnnngggg customer line in the Drive thu & inside were lots of customers too, guess other customers had the same problems too. This used to be the best Dairy Queen in town, not anymore. Don’t believe me, check...

Went on 3-1-17 purchased 3 milkshakes, got home and found a cockroach in my milkshake. Contacted the store, the man asked me to bring my reciept, I informed him I was never given my debit card back or reciept. The man kept repeating bring your reciept, even though I just told him they had my reciept and card. 3-2-17 Contacted the store again, same circle occured. Contacted the store 3-3-17 was on the phone while the man hunted in the kitchen for my card, then tells me the Manager has my card and is not in the store at this time and to speak with the manager the next morning. 3-4-17 The manager calls me 5 times back to back, claims he has police at the resturant because I left a bad review on facebook. I again asked him for my debit card and some solution on the cockroach situation. I go up to the store because he asked if I had the cup of roach. I had the cup in my hand, he then took the cup from my hand threw it in the trash, told me I was lying, the roach didn't come from there and that he had cut up my debit card and threw it in the trash. He then told me to get out of his store. I contacted corporate, the man who CLAIMS to be the owner refused to give me his name, snatched a cup from my hands, cut up and threw away my debit card, called me a liar, and then kicked me out..This was the absolute worst experience I have EVER had at...
