Last night, October 17, 2013 at 7:11:57 p.m., I have a story to tell at your chain at Beach/Hodges Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida. A friend of mine, asked me to house sit and bring her son and his son's friend to eat dinner at Chick-Fil-A because she went for an out of town business trip. So I drove these two teenagers to the chain/store. My friend Terri gave me a card with bills. Two $20s, Two $10s and One $5. She made a note that the dinner could be worth $15 so I separated two $20s together and set them aside on my left pocket. On my right pocket was the card with two $10's and one $5. When the cashier told me that the amount was totaled $19.58. Then, my thought was the $20 dollar bills. What registered in my mind was the $20 dollar bill I have on my pocket but forget that I have two bills set together on my left pocket and folded. I pulled it out from my pocket and handed to the cashier (male). I was wondering that it took him awhile to give me my change of $0.42. Usually, the cashier would say the amount you have given and showed it openly. But this person did not. I was even thinking maybe he does not have a change, I was contemplating to say, "keep the change." He was vending so low that made me wonder what's keeping him so long to give my change. Then I asked, do I have to wait here for my order? He responded, "No, but I will be giving you, your drinks." I said, "Oh, okay." Then, he asked my name. I gave my name. He said: "Nice name." I said, "Thank you." But it took awhile for him to even give us our drinks. So I back off (at the back of my mind, I was thinking he seemed to be taking so long). So I waited, I was noticing that he took so long to give us our drinks. First, he gave one drink to one of my teenager/companion, then, I saw him left the cashier post and delivered some food on the table. I thought they don't deliver food on the table? Then, he came back to the cashier post and gave us the other two drinks. Then, a few minutes, my name was called. We all ate and left the restaurant. When we get home. I noticed that I did not have the other $20 bill on my left pocket. So I went back to check with the cashier. He denied and said that I only gave him $20. I told him that I have two $20 bills set aside and put them together that I realized I handed to him without checking that it was two bills folded together. Then he called the manager. The male manager that night stated: "He will check the cashier box?" and he came back to me that the box was balance? He was even saying to me that I may have lost it somewhere. I did not go anywhere, I went directly home and that's when I realized I gave the cashier person two $20 dollar bills that's made it $40 total. The manager even stated: "Don't accuse my man." I did not accuse the person. I came back to tell him that I gave him two $20 dollar bills and it is a matter of being honest and talking about the integrity of the company. I knew that Chik-Fil-A is suppose to be Christian company so I trusted that my money will be returned because I showed to the manager that the money I only have at that time and did not go anywhere but Chik-Fil-A. It is time to check your circuit computer to tell the real story. Calling the owner please!!! It is not about the amount, it is the integrity of your employees!!! Thank you.
P.S. The food was alright. I don't really go to Chik-Fil-A but my two teenagers companion...
Read more04/23/2015 I went to the Hodges/Atlantic location and ordered an iced coffee with 1.5 pumps of creamer/sweetener. I always order it this way and typically it is PERFECT. As I drove off I notice the coffee tasted like sweet milk--no coffee taste--. As I continued my route to work I decided to stop at this location, Beach/Hodges and ask that they replace the coffee. I had taken only a few sips of the coffee; I went into the location, receipt in hand, and spoke with a nice gentleman by the name of Brian and explained the situation. Brian then turned to his manager, on duty David and too advised of the situation. David then came to the front to address me. I asked if he could replace the iced-coffee because it seemed to have no coffee in it and David responded by saying, " THAT'S ON THEM". Then proceeded to explain that I could purchase another one at his location. Wow!! I could not even respond! Was I at Chick-fil-a the brand that prides themselves on providing effective, efficient and excellent service with the undertones of Christianity? Well David perhaps did not feel very Christian that day. I did call the manager at the Atlantic/Hodges location to explain what happened and she was GREAT!! she even offered to bring me iced-coffee and breakfast to my place of employment. I did not take her up on the offer but wow what a wonderful gesture. I never got my iced coffee that day. I did call and speak with the general manager Jay at the Hodges/Beach location to report David's service level but Jay was quite passive about the situation but did apologize but also added, "...I would understand if you never come back to our location." Really Customer service 101 try to encourage repeat loyal customers. Jay never urged me to come back to at the very least have the infamous iced-coffee replaced but it's fine. I will not be gracing that location with my...
Read moreOn this visit the young lady taking orders was apparently having a bad day. When I pulled up to her she already had an annoyed look on her face. Even though the cars were lining up behind me she did not move from next to my car (under the canopy). She yelled at the other girl to STOP taking orders because they're obviously backed up and adding more orders will just stress out the inside staff more causing them to get more backed up...ummmm, well honey that's how fast food works. But I continue...after paying for my food and sitting there uncomfortably for what seems like 3 chik fil a line lifetimes, we moved up. I finally get to the kiosk before the windows and the young man asks if I'm Mallory, I said no. He asked John? Then he listed a few other names. I said no and told him the total of my order to try and help. He looked at the color of my car and repeated an order similar to mine but not the same total....FINALLY he found it..but I don't recall the young lady asking my name like they usually do. So I proceed on to the pick up window. Same issue..they repeat an order again that is similar but not what I specifically asked for. Turns out this was my order and Mallory was on my ticket. I enjoyed my tenders but the fries were supposed to be large and were med but that's OK because they tasted like yesterday's fries, NOT fresh, NOT hot, they were soggy and a disappointment. Chick fil a may be God's chicken, but yall ain't God, yall mess up big. This is not the first problem and I'm turning Karen. After several unfavorable attempts, this was just the tipping point. I literally have endless options in my area and will be checking them out before returning...
