Being a regular of the Post St Dreamette, I was super excited about another location being open with it being closer to home. The location is nice and they set it up very well. However, I’m not sure if they are doing the recipes/menu the same. I ordered a Strawberry-Pineapple Freeze, an order I get regularly on Post St, which, by the way, is always delicious. The one they made? Absolutely not. This one tastes and looks completely different, and not in a good way. It’s like a horribly made milkshake. The strawberry/pineapple flavor is strictly syrup, which is VERY noticeable upon first sip, no actual fruit like the Post St Dreamette usually puts in. There’s also usually vanilla ice cream swirled in the middle, and the ones I received did not have that. All that to say…it was gross, the whole thing was a waste. I’m willing to give it another go, but, not very hopeful.
(In my response to the Owner) I appreciate your feedback and if I was at the store myself, I would’ve done so. However, unknown to you, I did not pick up this order, it was brought to me by family. The only advantage I had knowing that it was wrong, was already being a customer of Dreamette, if I was brand new, there would’ve been no way of knowing that it was made differently. Obviously, that’s not the case here, something to consider…also, please take into consideration those who cannot control if they are able to drive to your store and fix a wrong if necessary. Not all of your customers are directly at the store. I love Dreamette and willing to try...
Read moreCame here yesterday after lunch next door at Frank Cotten's BBQ. I had been wanting to try Dreamette for awhile since I was told that they had dairy free ice cream. Not only did they have dairy free ice cream, but they had gluten free cones too! No one EVER has GF cones. So thank you for that. I ordered the small dairy free vanilla ice cream. It was huge for being only a small! I was so happy. You can barely notice a difference in taste between the real thing and non dairy. The owner was really nice too. I usually don't like orange dreamsicle, but when he had me try, it didn't taste like fake orange. It tasted like actual citric orange. I was surprised. My friend ordered their Oreo shake. They have seating outside only. In the front, then there's like a drive through area for whatever the building used to be. There's also seating in the back and a little stand to take pictures with ice cream cones on it. They offer a variety of ice cream types. I can't wait to go back and try more. This place definitely amazed me and I'm ready to go back here and try out their other locations when the mood strikes. Thank you for offering dairy and gluten free options for people with...
Read moreOk, this is the first time I left a review for this ice cream parlor. I wasn't a big fan for a long time because the original(in Murray hill) doesn't take cards. Then I just wasn't a big fan of the flavor. Lastly at some point I became viciously allergic to dairy. So as you can see I didn't like going with my family because I couldn't enjoy anything. "WELL", this is about the new location in Springfield! My wife told me that they built a new one up and they have vegan options. So i decided to give it a try! Let me tell you first off they take cards! Which is a plus, They have some amazing flavors and it is ab-so-freaking-lutely amazing! "Huston, we have a winner"! It is probably the best ice cream joint in the city now! Service is great, ice cream is great, and the atmosphere is so relaxing.. if you haven't gone you owe it to yourself to stop by. Banana fosters, German chocolate, and the vanilla with toasted coconut with the vanilla ice cream are next level! You've gotta go if you haven't already. Oh, plus they give out punch cards! Lastly I want to add that I go once a week after...
