2nd Review: I placed an order on the evening of 01.11.2024, through the Uber Eats app from El Agave Azul Baymeadows for a Burrito Thursday, Diet Coke and a dessert called 3 Leches Cake. My order was delivered quickly. The driver left, I took the food out of the bag, and noticed the dessert was missing. I contacted Uber Eats and was transferred to the driver who delivered the order. I advised him that I didn’t have my dessert. He checked his car and the dessert wasn’t there. He said he’d talk to the restaurant to see what they could do. A few minutes later, I received a call from Uber Eats to discuss the missing order. A refund was issued for the cost of the dessert plus tax. This is the 2nd time I have placed an order from El Agave Azul Baymeadows, and it’s also the 2nd time they have “failed me” with missing items from my orders. My other review is below this one. I was hesitant about ordering from this restaurant again because of my past experience with them, but I thought I’d give them another chance. RIGHT!!! Not again.
1st Review: I placed an online order on Friday night, 05.22.23, for delivery. I ordered a California Style Burrito, a Shrimp Taco, rice and beans with a side of Queso and chips. I did not receive the Queso and chips. I called and explained what I didn't receive to the young lady who answered the phone. I asked if she could reverse the cost of the Queso and chips back to my card, and she said they couldn't "on our end", but if I reported it to someone else (Uber?) I might be able to get a refund for the cost of the Queso and chips. This did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I did not call Uber to report it. My food was getting cold. I ate half of the burrito, the shrimp taco, and the rice and beans. The burrito was huge!! The taste, not so much. It was rather bland. The shrimp taco was excellent. The rice and beans were bland, too. I figured salt was not added to anything. I was not impressed with my order except for the shrimp taco, nor with the run around about the Queso and chips. As a member of the Chanel 4 news team I was APPAULED to over hear a conversation between employees of this business and a family member of mine who had a business agreement with them and when told a complaint was going to be publicized she was told “ oh well we have 5 star reviews and it won’t hurt us “ I’ll see about that when I return to work on Thursday ! I’m going to see to it PERSONALLY that we air a segment on the things I witnessed as far as how business was conducted poorly , unprofessionally , and dishonest with my family member . IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED . REPLY TO YOUR MESSAGE . Let’s start HERE : as a REPUTABLE journalist I never put something in writing I can’t PROVE ! I was ON A CALL OVERHEARING IT ! I never said I was PRESENT ! It’s also on a RECORDED LINE ! So there is no need for he say she said I have it FOR THE WORLD TO HEAR FOR THEMSELVES! And there was no FREE meal because you all made people PAY for what was supposed to be a free meal so much so that when her nephew heard you were charging people he came there and asked why people are being charged for what is supposed to be a free meal ! ( I have TANIGIBLE proof of that as well) ! In addition to that when she came to pay and asked for the ticket count she was told you didn’t keep the tickets and instead you told her it was a 2,000 bill ! Don’t tell ME about how hard you have worked for a business , you certainly don’t conduct yourself as if you worked hard for it ! I have zero sympathy ! You were asked to make things right ! She was told you don’t have to make it right ! So now here we are ! AND THE ENTIRE BILL WAS PAID WHICH I ALSO HAVE TANGIBLE PROOF OF ! Read moreEditing again. I'm officially downgrading you to one star. After 4 or 5 tries it's only gotten worse and I do not appreciate the attitude from the staff there. I'm very much done and will only spread my negative experiences that I've had multiple times in a row at this point. I used to support you and stand up for you and say if you've had a bad experience please try again because the food is good but not when you get it wrong constantly and your staff has an attitude and I'm sorry but if you're not willing to provide food the way somebody likes it and orders it then don't be in business because as a restaurant you are serving somebody food the way they like it and you just continue to say yes okay and then make it the way you want and serve it incorrectly but the attitude I think is what makes it the absolute worst so I'm done... no more chances or support.
Maybe I once again had expectations too high because I've heard nothing but amazing stuff about this place however my pork Taco went straight in the trash- it was horrible. the meat was clearly at least a day old along with huge chunks of I don't know ligament and fat... I also just so happened to go on a Tuesday and I was told it was buy-two-get-one-free however I was charged forv 2 buy two get one free at 7.99 each and I think all but two of the six tacos I ordered were $3 each so that did not make me happy when I looked at the receipt when I got home.
