Ellianos Coffee — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Edit to my previous review: Since I mentioned the cream cheese in my last review and it was addressed- I have now been here at least 10 more times and gotten a bagel every time…that has had a generous amount of cream cheese LOL I am actually really impressed you addressed the issue and have gotten your entire team doing this! Everyone that works here is seriously really sweet and always full of smiles. This has become my new favorite place and I might be slightly addicted!!!!! If I could give you 10 stars I would!!!!! Fantastic job!!!!!

Pretty good! I love the cinnamon raisin bagels and strawberry cream cheese. Depending on who makes it, they might skimp a little on the cream cheese tho, so you may want to ask for extra if you’re a food lube person like me!! The Sicilian smoothie is really good and I highly recommend!!! The cafe latte, not so much, but I’m pretty picky when it comes to my coffee, so it could just be me. Overall, the staff I’ve dealt with there have all been very friendly and helpful and I’m pleased! The drive thru line might be long but...

I’ve been a loyal Ellianos customer for years and normally visit the Orange Park location, but my experience at the 8781 Old Kings Road S, Jacksonville, FL store on 9/3/2025 was unacceptable. I ordered a Sicilian Red Bull Rush and swallowed a sharp piece of plastic that broke off from the faulty lid. I choked on it, and it left my throat sore.

I brought this directly to Megan Johnson, the franchise owner/operator. First, I was told a refund would be issued. Later, I was told store credit would be applied instead. Neither has happened, and as of 9/12/2025, I’ve had to follow up multiple times with nothing resolved. My bank shows only the original charge — no refund, no credit.

While the transaction was under $8, the health risk and the way this has been handled are unacceptable. I’m not asking for anything extra, but after choking on plastic and spending over a week chasing a resolution, a refund alone hardly seems enough. Instead, I’ve been left with broken promises, no refund, no credit, and no accountability.

I will not be returning...

You order, pay, and get your food from the same window. There’s also two separate lines on each side of the building which was confusing at first, but I think it’s a great idea. Asked for a small chai latte w/ soy milk and an egg & cheese croissant. The drink was really good! I’d give it 5 stars. Sadly, I was given a ham & cheese croissant and I don’t eat meat so that was disappointing. I had already driven 15 mins away so I wasn’t about to go back. My fault for not double checking the food, but I was hungry and it would’ve been nice to try a new spot. Altogether, I spent around $12. Not sure if I’ll return.

• EDIT * Changed my review from a 3 to a 5 since they were so quick to kindly address the issue and refund my order. I came back and tried the iced carmella and café dolce and both were delicious & sweet. I did not get any food this time around but I’ll likely get some next...
