First Watch — Restaurant in Jacksonville

This was my very first time visiting this location. My daughter and I were on limited time before her swim lessons but we needed to eat first so we stopped here.

When we walked inside, stroller and all and no one batted an eye. The gentleman that seated us took us towards the back and asked if where he picked was a good spot. I told him yes. He asked if I wanted him to move one of the chairs so I could put her stroller there so I told him yes. He removed the chair and then noticed my daughter had sun in her face so he asked if it was too much sun, I told him no since I knew she would not be sitting there long. He showed me the menu and suggested that I try the pumpkin pancake special because it was superb.

The server came and of course I ordered the pumpkin pancake special. She was friendly and very welcoming as well. Before the food arrived she brought warm pancake syrup to the table and checked to make sure we didn't need anything else.

When the food arrived everything was fresh and hot. I love when my food is served hot and not lukewarm and cold. The pancake was huge, my eggs were cooked exactly the way I liked them and the chicken apple sausage was on point. The gentleman working was making rounds to everyones table checking on them and he asked if I wanted a plastic spoon for the baby or if we needed anything else.

We were truly impressed by the service we received. The gentleman that was going above and beyond offering superb service and paying attention to the little details for everyone was the manager, Loren or L. I appreciate his patience and intuitiveness that he offered to everyone. The restaurant was clean and everyone seemed genuinely happy. I will be back for another visit simply because we received top notch service and I left feeling more relaxed than when I walked in. I imagined my first time out with my 10 month old was not going to be pleasant and that I would be flustered and worked up after...but thanks to your team...it was everything but that! So...

The "Juice Bar" is limited in the menu but they tend to have specials on both juice and food.

FOOD: I had the FreshVeg Omlette and it was good, but not astounding. The best part about it was the sun dried tomatoes, these were some of the best I have ever had, easy. The Omlette combination of cremini, tomato and goat cheese was good, but the taste was reduced because of the, goat cheese. The combination is good, but the goat cheese paired with it kinda just makes it taste dry. The cremini mushrooms could off set this a bit more if they would have sweated a bit more or if a bit more oil or even just Worcestershire sauce. If the company is reading this, then I think I would recommend some pico, chunkish or minced.

DRINK(s): This Morning Meditation is straight fire! Love it! This needs a bit of vodka and would be the go-to drink of many brunch mom's. It's so good, normally juices are engulfed in sugar but this has a bit of tart and tang, it's a perfect juice drink!

SERVICE: Great, waitress was knowledgeable gave excellent recommendations and the dude at the counter was speedy and efficient, seemed like kitchen staff were quite busy, hustle and bustle you can totally hear but not unbearable.

Location : sucks, not enough parking and the seating area is, well it's as expected, not bad.

Atmosphere: I like the decor, the drop ceiling takes away from the setting but it's ignorable for the now considering location.

Eager to come back and super excited to try...

I really hate to have to give first watch two stars, because I love them. But my experience at this store on 6/25/2020 was not very good. We went in a little after two for lunch, and we’re sat at a table where are the chairs were covered with crumbs and there were empty Coffee creamers on the floor. We moved ourselves to another table, brushed off the chairs there, and sat down. Our waitress came over to take her order. She was very friendly. After placing our order we waited and after an appropriate mount of time, we noticed a girl walking around with food trying to deliver it to different tables where people already had food. She looked at us, with no food on our table, turned around and started to walk away. We had to tell her that that was probably our food. I don’t know what happened to our server between the time she placed our order and the time our food was delivered. I had asked for a clean knife, but never got one. And the food, when finally put on our table, was already cooled off and not hot. The bread at the bottom of my grilled ham and cheese I was actually soggy. We also sat there for the entire time with dirty tables around us that had not been cleaned off and we were there for over 30 minutes. I am very disappointed at the experience we had.
