Panda Express — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Food is fresh, but the chow mein needs more veggies in it, other than celery and onions, plus it has no flavor. For the price I feel that the food should be more flavorful. I always get the Teriyaki Chicken, which has been brined in a bland mixture of light spices. I always have to order 3 extra sauces to cover my self made bowl of, chow mein, mixed super greens and chicken. Once I do that it tastes GREAT! I do wish they would actually cut the chicken the way that it looks in the picture, instead of serving it in random sized chunks. The customer service at this location is 1,000x's better than the newer location on Kernan and Atlantic (that one has the WORST customer service, and VERY disrespectful/rude employees). So, food fresh, but bland until I "spruce it up" and customer service is pretty good. It could use some improvement, but surprisingly it's NOT the regular employees that need to change, it's the GM, she's kind of rude. She just doesn't really seem to care much about customer satisfaction, but her employees do. And if she sees an employee go above and beyond to make a customer happy, she (the General Manager) will talk to them with her back to you to tell them not to do whatever it is they...

This location does not seem to care about online orders. I am a huge fan of placing online orders at restaurants. I have two young kids so it’s definitely more convenient for me to just walk in quickly and grab my food. I’m a pretty understanding person but my experiences here make me so mad lol. The last two times I placed my online order were a few weeks apart. Both times the same experience. My order wasn’t even started 25 minutes after the time it said my order would be ready for pickup. Both times, I saw the line fill up with walk-ins, and both times, everyone left before me with their food. It’s a shame because my kids love Panda and this location is the most convenient for me. It seems as if all the surrounding Panda locations need a new regional manager or something because I’ve had very poor experiences at this location and the Atlantic/Kernan location. OMG It was delicious! We had NEVER been to a panda express before. (We are here on business for 2 weeks and it was recommended to us by our hotel). I apologized for taking so long to decide to both the gentleman behind us and the gentleman at the counter. The gentleman behind the counter immediately said oh take your time, you can sample anything and I can recommend some suggestions on our best sellers. Then the guy behind us AND the couple behind him started suggesting and recommending items. Wow, never had such a fun experience in a fast food restaurant. It seemed like everyone behind the counter wanted in on what to suggest to us as well. And I was amazed at how long the line behind us had started to get, and then word got down the line that we were 1st timers and more suggestions began. The food was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed; the shanghai Angus steak, sweet-fire chicken, honey walnut shrimp, grilled teriyaki chicken and the orange chicken.
