This was our first time visiting and we were disappointed. We ordered the chips and queso with a side of salsa. The chips were not fresh, cold, and had no taste. The queso is just melted Velveeta cheese with some “Ro Tel” like mix and some sausage. The salsa is an off brand Pace Pacante sauce. (This cost $6.99.) When we asked for alternate chips, they brought the same cold chips and offered pita chips that was actually soft pita bread with some seasoning on it. (Added on $1.99 to our bill.) I ordered grilled shrimp with a side of Macaroni (additional $2 and some change) and a house side salad with ranch (additional $3.49). The macaroni was cold and drizzled with white cheddar liquid cheese. The shrimp was dry and pepper ridden and when offered a butter sauce for dipping, it seemed to be the stuff they spread on bread. My other half ordered the shrimp and grits in which he seemed to like, but the grits had the consistency of mashed potatoes and the tails were still attached to the shrimp. My mom ordered The battered fried shrimp with onion petals. The shrimp was tasty and a good size! The onion petals, however, looked to be a mix of old and new (you cold taste the difference). The drinks of Diet Dr. Pepper, Dr. Pepper, and a strawberry margarita with sugar on the rim were the best thing about our eating experience! Overall our bill was over $77 (without tip) for three people! Definitely not worth it! The waitress was nice, honest, helpful, and juggled many tables. All in all, If you are looking to watch several sports games at once on clear visible televisions, sit at the bar, and eat mediocre over priced food, this is the place for you! (If there are multiple people at your table, Do not order the appetizer plate with several appetizers you choose from because you do not get enough for that $14.99. I saw it come out at another table.) ***The garlic bread pictured with the fish and grits was an additional cost of $2.99.**

I frequented the Orange Park location on several occasions and never had any issues. I told my 18 year son to apply because the atmosphere was nice but when he applied for the host role that was advertised, they told him they were going to have him serving. He has never served before so I was nervous for him but he said he could do it. He prepped his clothes the night before and was excited to leave for work. He started on Monday, June 10th and they fired him after only working and training less than 20 hours the whole week. Dave told him they were cutting him because he was not learning fast enough and they had the right to let him go because Florida is an at will state. This is how they treated an impressionable young man starting his life. This shows a lack of leadership, mentorship and overall common decency. Maybe rather than letting him go, you should have put him in the hosting position he applied for rather than fast tracking him to a role he wasn’t prepared for and you weren’t prepared to train for. This is not an establishment I will ever step into again and I hope no one else’s child has to go through this. Leadership needs training. By the way, Dave said he shadowed my son today before releasing him and that’s why he made the decision. My son was only on shift for 1.5 hrs and instead of asking him how you could help, you took the easy route. Crappy Management and your core values aren’t real.

This is the 2nd time we tried this place and it was for a function, so we really didn't have a choice of establishment. Amanda was working hard as our waitresses and she was completely understraffed and never buckled and we had her the 1st time. Unfortunately, both times the food was just HORRIBLE! I got wings both times and I did them different ways both times in hopes that maybe this time they would be better...they were not! This time around, I got lemon pepper and mild both bone in, Buffalo style, wet. Can you tell by the picture which is what? That was the 1st sign. Also, the picture actually makes them look more "wet" than they actually were. They were so dry. The woman at our table also ordered wet wings and was putting ketchup on her wings to moisten them and to give them some kind of flavor. Why didn't I send them back? It was sooooo busy!!! Our food was coming out at an alarming fast rate, but finding Amanda to get things wasn't as fast. Unfortunately, two waitresses are just not enough. We won't be back, not for an event or for anything else.

My son recommended Gator's Dockside at Oakleaf for lunch and it turned out to be a good choice. A sports bar vibe with plenty of seats and flat screen TVs to view your favorite team. The restaurant has a bar, and a variety of seating from booths to flat tops. The service was very good, and our server was very polite, friendly and helpful. The menu has a variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, and other typical sports bar food. Prices are reasonable, and plenty of alcoholic beverages to choose from. We started with the Buffalo cauliflower which was my favorite dish. The sauce had a nice little kick, and the cauliflower was firm, yet tender and rich. For lunch I had the Morning burger with a side of onion pedals. The burger was cooked nicely. Juicy and tender. It was topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and a fresh fried egg. The onion pedals were surprisingly good and filling. Much better than rings. Overall, a great experience. 👍

The restaurant has moved into its own building, and this is where they belong. The new building atmosphere is open and inviting with inside and porch seating. The menu has changed a little, but the time-honored wings and Monte Cristo is still available. This was my first time back after two years not visiting. The service and food have improved immensely. I had the shrimp and grits which were excellent, but the presentation needs a little work. It would also be nice if they removed the entire shell but that's a matter of preference. The fried shrimp plate was good, but the onion ring breading was more like mushy grease. Still, the experience was nice and much better than the past. They tend to stay crowded so check Google to see if they are busy. The restaurant is large so don't let the crowded parking lot scare you. TVs on every wall to keep the sports freaks happy. Overall, a much better experience and they are on my recommendation list.

Showed up at Dockside at 450pm I was seated and didnt get my water till 520 after I had to ask for the manager.. who ever sat me should have notified the person working the tables.. there was 3 empty table around me. The lady sat 4 ppl at one table and waited on them before I even got my water. This is a poor quality of serv in my opinion. There manager wasnt apologetic at all.. she was more passive about the whole story. There star today is a 1,5 got my wings at 535 the table next to me was already eating. Smh.. Update. My waitress never came by to check on me or my water. She looked from a distance to see if I needed water.. then she showed up with a cup of water.. after all that I asked for my bill and had to wait 10m. Smh. This is a sad day at Gator Dockside.. I felt invisible today.. I rapped my day up at 625.. smh.. 4 2 22.. Update... Never took the menu.. Views?
