Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Jacksonville

They have finally made up for all the bad times I've had there! There was plenty of food, the waitress we had was pleasant and friendly, and was giving us 2 drinks at a time. The restaurant was clean, food fresh and yummy. The problem I have with the Golden Corral is that you pay for all you can eat, but if you can't finish what's on your plate and want to take it home, they want to charge you again. WHAT?? I already paid for that food!! They're going to throw it away anyway! Like my Gram always said, "There are people starving! Don't waste food!" Why would you charge someone to take their food home that they already paid for and have even more waste to throw away?? It's different if you think you can go up to the buffets and fill a To Go container. That should be a no-no. But to charge for something you already touched and paid for is just pure greed AND stupidity. Yep, just like the rest of the world. Do better! I can't stand wasting food. Yet you're going to let a person fill two bags of yeast buns so no one else eating there can have any. Yep, that happened. Thankfully, I'm one who speaks up. I asked the guy, who was just going crazy filling a white bag with yeast rolls and another empty bag lying down ready to be filled, "Hey, are you taking ALL the rolls??" Him: "Yeah, why do you want one?" Me: "Umm, yeah..." Him: "Well, I don't see anyone back there to bring out more. How many do you want to take?" Me: "Well, there's me and my boyfriend. At least 3." I’m so disappointed in your resturant the way your staff handled the food the storage unit for the clean dishes, to the way they handled the kitchen areas, I watched your employee took a package out of the trash can which had about a dozen or more cups and this happened in the bakery area took them out of the bag and put them out to be used by the guests, the way this lady handled it it was disgustingly disgusting. In the area’s of the food the staff was rude carry clean dishes up against their clothes which they wore from their home and place these contaminated dishes in the dirty bins with debris all over the bottom i was sent to evacuate this restaurant people picking food dropped on the floor and put it back on the food bar , the staff waiting the tables were so overwhelmed with the crowd of customers who were very rude, this restaurant is not one I would recommend the nicest person ever in the restaurant was TRELL ,WHEN I asked the guy who was cooking the stakes to butterfly the meat he was rude and refused to so Trell went and had it done as for the atmosphere of this restaurant I am turning all my videos and reports over to the health department to do an investigation on this restaurant Monday morning because people are going to get sick from food poisoning, the staff waiting needs to be retrained how to handle Food, where are the Gloves 🙏 by the way I asked for a Manager and he...

Very good food and friendly waitresses. During this time of face masks, it is required from management that ALL PEOPLE over the age of approximately 2 years old, MUST WEAR face masks UNLESS you are sitting at your table eating. Some of the staff makes sure it happens, but slot of them plus the management don't. Once in a great while management will say something. Young children going up to the bars and sticking their hands INTO the food, but the food is NOT taken away. There are pictures of MANY ADULTS and OLDER children NOT wearing a mask while going around in the restaurant or up at the food bars. 6 feet distancing is NOT followed by everyone. People are going around the OPPOSITE direction through the food lines that are chained off and marked ENTER ONLY and EXIT ONLY. Again, management NOT enforcing. We follow ALL the rules just to become face to face with those coming through the lines backwards without masks, standing side by side with you because they don't want to wait or going around you and pushing you against the food bars. And also coming at you when you are trying to get to your table and they are leaving, but more or less demand by body language that you move out of their way when you were coming through first.
