Hardee’s — Restaurant in Jacksonville

This was my first time trying Hardee's. I only know its the east coast version of the west coast Carl's Jr.

This location is nearby. I decided to visit about an hour before closing time.

There wasn't anyone in the parking lot, drive thru and I didn't see anyone inside.

I ordered based on looking at their menu online, which was a good thing because neither of the large digital menus were working.

I ordered a SuperStar combo meal to see if it is as good as the West coast Carl's Jr version. (Though big and tasty, it wasn't very similar to the amazing SuperStar from Carl's Jr.)

While ordering, the drive through person asked me to confirm I had ordered a "number one". Which turned out to be ironic, because when I pulled up to the window and told her that neither of their menu displays were working so I couldn't confirm the menu number, she said, "I know, this displays haven't been working for a while". If i didn't know what i was going to order in advance, I would have left and went to a competitor due to the non functioning order menus.

The drive through person was friendly.

It took an unexpected considerable amount of time to get the order for drive thru.

The drive thru person disappeared after taking my order until returning with the meal, making me wonder if she had to either help cook or maybe work the front counter.

She apologized for the order taking so long.

When leaving I noticed a truck had been behind me in drive-thru waiting.

The over all food was good, but not as good as I expected being from the West Coast, which does bias my opinion.

A lot of lettuce on their SuperStar burger which i liked. The fries were really good.

I'll try something different next time that doesn't have a Carl's...

Came here at 10:15am 9/6/24 3 cars in parking lot and 5 in drive thru. I ordered a gravy biscuit combo with hash rounds and an extra sausage patty. Drive thru was exceptionally slow. When I got to the window, was offered grits instead of hash browns. No French fries either. Had to ask clerk for napkins, then a straw for my drink, and paid $8.52 for this order. Manager had to come to do something to the register. Then the register wouldn't work for the clerk. After paying I had to drive back around the business to ask for a fork and knife to eat my biscuit gravy with. As I entered, someone leaving asked me if I had ever eaten there and I said no, that man said he was never coming back! When I entered, there where 5 people standing at the front and all 3 clerks were laughing and talking with each other. I had to call out "excuse me" 3 times to get the attention of a clerk to get my utensils. Food was cold by the time I got to eat it. This was by far the worst run Hardee's I have ever been to and I will never return. With the manager there, and no clerk knew how to run or fix the register, or fix the fryer, or service the customers with their needed extras like straw, utensils, or napkins!! My boyfriend and I live close by and have ordered here a good amount of times. My most recent order was for the garlic bread thickburger and when I opened it up it was sopping wet from the amount of butter on the bread. I tried to wipe some off but the bread was soggy from it. He ordered a roast beef sandwich and even after a coupon it was $2.50. It was plain roast beef on a bun, nothing else and it had like 2 thin slices of beef. I wouldn’t have paid $1 for what we received. Thankfully we live close by because my boyfriend had to drive back to exchange the order. I tried calling about the issue but their phone doesn’t actually work. I’ve tried calling before when we’ve had other issues and it’s always the same issue. No answer, it rings like once and then has a loud dial tone. UPDATE: after having them remake my burger it came back with almost no garlic butter on the bread. So, they can’t just put a normal amount on? Also, this time it randomly had pickles added that don’t come on this burger. It threw the whole taste off as they were under the caramelized onions and whatever sauce is on this. It was disgusting. Don’t order from here. I really hope someone reaches out to me about this because they make it difficult to contact them...
