I stayed 1 night then extended by stay for another 3 nights. Everyone was friendly. I felt the area to be safe. I had the jacuzzi suite (just so you know the jacuzzi is in the bedroom NOT the bathroom). The suite was awesome except for the bathroom, when you see the reviews that it is TINY believe me it is TINY. If you are a big person FORGET IT. It wasn't a deal breaker for me but it was close. The rest of the suite was huge, just poor designing to not have used some of the extra room for the bathroom. The fridge did need defrosting but was clean. It also had a microwave and coffee maker but I didn't use the coffee maker as it looked like maybe it needed cleaning(I am pretty picky on stuff like that). The hotel is an older property but they have done a recent remodel and I found everything very clean and refreshed. The hairdryer did stop working my last day and I called for a replacement but they didn't have one and the maintenance man had left for the night. With a sold out hotel I would think they might need to keep a maintenance man on call 24/7. Breakfast was standard fare, waffles, breads, fruit, cereal, eggs, sausage and I found it to be well stocked. The coffee was very strong! I didn't use the pool but I looked at the exercise room and it was very nice, with tv and towels on the 6th floor overlooking the area. There is construction going on near the hotel so beware of that also. There is a median running down the middle of the street so if you see Red Lobster and you are not on that side of the street you have to go all the way down to a traffic light and get on the same side of the street to go there. It doesn't sound like a bother unless you add hundreds of people trying to do the same thing. There is not a lot of food options except fast food, Red Lobster, Dennys and Chilis. All the other food requires you to get back on the interstate where there is again construction and high traffic. All and all I still enjoyed my stay and for the price I would not hesitate to stay...
Read moreWhere do I begin? The room that we were given at check in was so damp, and moist with a weird smell. On our first day there when we entered the room I just didn't think about it until my husband brought some things to my attention. We checked in on 5/26/22, by the wee hours of the morning on 5/29/22, I got up to use the bathroom and there was so much water on the bathroom sink area and floor by the toilet. I began to inspect it to see where it was coming from after I had taken a towel to wipe up the puddle because I didn't want it to go outside on the carpet. Thank God I was careful because I'm pregnant. We were eventually moved to another room for our extra night. Oh, Did I forget to mention that the bathroom door did not even close to be able to lock?! Plus there was a hole in the wall!!! I was too done!! I was like c'mon now, this is ridiculous! However, I feel like a discount should have been taken off of our initial price.
Oh and another thing, the beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. Let me not forget the lighting, Omg, please change those fixtures! Way too dark even with the lights on! Also, their breakfast, let's just say they could do so much better and switch it up daily. I'm usually not a hard person to please at all, but this place was Not anything like it looked online. The deception was astonishing. Another thing, their front desk ppl were not welcoming. They need better training. The only one with a little happy in her was the Jamaican lady. She was beyond sweet! Nobody seemed happy with their job, at all! I can tell because I've worked in customer service for years!!! Hope they do some major upgrades on this place. I would Not recommend it to Anyone! Read moreI stayed here for two weeks to recover after getting sick.
It has a full breakfast with eggs, sausages, cereals, Fruit is usually oranges and bananas.
There were two breakfast staff during my staff. A Latina who was unfriendly and unresponsive, and a black woman who was always friendly and responsive.
The front counter staff were friendly, some more than others.
The room was clean and the air was clean which is why I stayed longer. I was trying to get over chest congestion.
My first check-in a woman came to my door the morning I extended a few days. She was knocking aggressively and relentlessly despite my having the do not disturb sign on the door.
She refused to respond when I asked who it was.
When I opened the door she claimed to be house keeping. I told her I didn't need house keeping and was going to be staying longer. The whole time she just stood there and stared at me not responding, didn't apologize. I eventually shut the door.
The bed was a little firm but overall comfortable and the pillows were plentiful and large.
The room decor was average and had a half wall between the bed and a small couch with a coffee table.
The couch wasn't especially comfortable, but was fine for working on my computer from.
Despite my gripes, the price for the room as a Choice Member was reasonable and I liked it enough to stay for two weeks.
It's walking Distance to Hardee's, Chipotle, Arby's and another restaurant
I ordered Domino's delivery...
