I took a pair of screw back earrings to get a repair (lost a backing) was told they have to be sent out, so that way the jeweler can match the backing with the post. OK no problem. Go to pick them up realize they did not give a backing. They change the whole post to regular post so I called them up immediately. Explained what happened. Ruth answered the phone and said it’s too bad we’re not gonna fix them unless you’re gonna pay again and we’re not gonna fix them it’s your fault (literally was told that) So after 20 minutes of arguing, the manager, Tabitha gets on the phone and for the service for Ruth,( who should be fired) and said I’m very sorry. The lady who originally put in the work order is no longer here bring them back will make sure the jeweler gets them fixed. OK great three weeks later today I finally go back because they’re ready and I pick them up and what do you know Ruth is there again she slams the book on the counter after repeatedly rolling her eyes at me and snubbing another employee out-of-the-way so she can specifically help me And tells me I need to get out my license RIGHT NOW literally, that was the beginning of the conversation that was the welcoming and greeting into the store. I look at the earrings. They finally got it right the second time I asked what I was signing Ruth then stated it says right here.REPAIR PICK UP! As if I couldn’t see that, however I wanted to make sure there was no verbiage before the signature line because they refused to show me what was on the screen before after a previous hassle with signing for the pick up and then realizing the earrings were messed up so I wanted to make sure I was signing well that’s not an option With Ruth, I will never go back to the store again I will never recommend anybody to go to the store. Though my ring is STUNNING it has been such a hassle which is the last thing any woman should experience being newly engaged. My ring he told them to order a 4 1/2. When we got it back it wasn’t sized correctly and was wayyyyy off it measures at a 5 1/2. After spending almost 4000 on an item I would have hoped they would have checked before saying it was ready. When we found out from another jeweler who graciously put a ring guard on we called them and they said that I could keep my ring until they had another one made to a size 4 which would fit my finger better. Mind you they didn’t even ask me to come in so they can size it this is coming from having it sized at another jeweler. They said that my new ring would be done by April 1st and now they are saying April 19th possibly. I work in healthcare and am unable to wear my ring due to it being too loose and the ring guard becoming loose and falling off. Ordered my wedding band from another store that costs originally $1,100 which would be down to $700ish with the sale. We were assured we’d still be getting the sale price because we ordered it during the weekend of the sale. We were also told the other ring wouldn’t be on sale if we didn’t put a down payment on it. Get there a week and a half later to pick up the rings. Low and behold my ring costed $1,300 after I was told I would be getting a sale price. The other ring we bought came with the sale price because we put a down payment and she told us we should’ve put one on my ring but they never told us to because we were told since we ordered it on the weekend from another store that it’d be fine. Also leaves me wondering why they didn’t ask for a down payment on my ring. They said they couldn’t do much else except give us 10% off but only if we applied for a credit card.
