With tears streaming down my eyes I must write about how ZALES has ruined my wedding anniversary. I purchased a ring that was supposed to be a special gift to the most loving, hardworking and deserving man I know, my husband. Yet instead, six weeks from the date of purchase, I have neither ring or my money back, and my wedding anniversary is 2 days away. If I could, I would sadly give this review a score of zero stars. To the person reading this review let me explain…On November 1, 2022, I was strolling through the mall looking at 4 jewelry stores trying to decide which one had the best quality that would meet my budget. And who better to choice than “the diamond store”! Upon my entrance I was met with friendly customer service, and the associate found the perfect ring to fit my budget. Because it was a size 12.0 we ordered it and I was told it should be in within 7-10 days. Perfect! This was well in advance for my wedding anniversary. I even received an email confirmation that it would arrive to the Jacksonville mall on November 11,2022. So on this day I happily arrived to the store, only to be disappointed that not only was my ring not there but if I had any issues or concerns I needed to call customer care. After the shock wore off of the unpleasant customer service and dismissal, I left the store. I allowed a few more days to go by as the status update remained “in route” before I did as instructed and called customer care. On November 21,2022, customer care advised that my item was delivered to a CVS drop box. Wait! Excuse me?!? A CVS PHARMACY DROP BOX!!! I would NEVER agree to have a jewelry item be delivered to a CVS pharmacy drop box!!! How & Why is that even a delivery method for a world renowned retailer such as ZALES?!?!? Of course, the rep didn’t know! However, she advised that I would have to call CVS myself to investigate. Huh?!?? I am the customer I shouldn’t have to investigate anything! I asked for a manager and the representative changed the tone and offered to contact CVS, who advised that they never received any items from ZALES. Although I was extremely frustrated, I figured I will have time to figure this out at another jewelry store before my wedding anniversary. I told the rep to please issue me a complete refund. Your company can investigate on your own time, right now I need a ring and not from ZALES! The rep explained that she couldn’t issue a refund but would open a case, and someone will be in contact with me within 7-10 business days to discuss this matter. Needless to say, I never received any communication or refund from ZALES!!!! On December 2, 2022 I called customer service, I asked for a district or general manager. I was placed on a brief hold, told no one was available to speak with me and was given another case number. So I decided to call the Jacksonville store to ask for either the district or general manager, to which I was met with the manager instead. While she was very apologetic, nice, patient and helpful I was told that someone in management would be in contact with me on the same day. Welp! Needless to say, I am still waiting on that phone call. As of today, December 13, 2022, with a tearful trembling voice I called the Jacksonville store desperately looking for the district, general or even store manager that helped me before. I was placed on a brief hold, and you guessed it…Told to call customer care or wait until after 4pm when someone will be in contact with me! ZALES you have failed to honor your promise in providing the best customer experience. I regretfully trusted your company to help make my wedding anniversary special and you failed. I feel like I’ve been robbed of my money and someone is scamming me. The undue stress that this has caused me is unfair and unlawful. The first time my diamond fell out, we dropped the ring off at Zales and after a month had not heard a word from their customer services (I'm assuming they have none) I called to inquire about the progress and they couldn't even find my ring or where it was. After numerous phone calls and talking to numerous people they finally located the ring. It was at the store and it had been for over two weeks. I never received a phone call to let me know it was ready. The second time I dropped it off was in September because another diamond had fell out, they told me they couldn't replace it because that ring had been discontinued but they could order me a different one. I told them I didn't want a different ring and they finally decided that they could order me the same ring. So it's been over 3 1/5 months and I have called and been to the store to inquire about the ring and I have continually ran into the same issue as the first time. No phone call updates on the progress or a proposed time of when the ring will be ready. So here I am still waiting for my wedding ring. I have been married for less than a year and been wearing a wedding ring with a diamond missing!!!! So embarrassing. I will never buy anything from zales again. They are the absolute worst! Read moreTook my ring to get resized on June 16th and was told it would be done July 11th. They got it back and it was a whole size too small. They said that they would be sending it back but guaranteed it would be here on July 16th at the very latest since we had our engagement pictures. It is now the 16th and I still don’t have it back and now we have to get our pictures rescheduled last minute and the only thing they tell me “it should be here in a few days probably” by the guy working. The manager has been very unhelpful and is the one that guaranteed it to be here. She even confirmed on Monday when we called that it would be in on Wednesday and it is not. It will now be over a month that they’ve had the ring and can’t give any information on the situation. I have had to reach out to higher up customer service and they are looking into it and I still have no resolution. Definitely do not recommend and will not be purchasing through them again. Staff at this location is very unprofessional including the managers.
