Had the jerk chicken, avocado, bacon sandwich and I can’t say enough good things about it. The choice of flavors combined, the quality of each ingredient, and the spectacular bread — chef’s kiss 💋
Worth every penny and impressed that Jax Bread elevated the humble sandwich to such a supreme level.
Customer service was professional, warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable about their food and deep knowledge on bread making (I don’t bake bread but I am into this re-awakening of bread making). I like to nerd out on bread and she was there for it.
The bread used for the sandwich had that perfect blend of crisp but not hard crust, perfect crumble in the bread with a little chew, and that nice subtle tang in the flavor. Also, I don’t know where you get your bacon but — wow.
Like lots of places, it seems from the reviews, the chef is working out kinks — don’t let that keep you from trying this place or letting her know so she can make it right. The food is exceptional.
My brother managed restaurants and said it’s good to let them know when something is off, sometimes it’s an oven or stove not working right, miscommunication in the kitchen, or a distributor who delivers subpar or different goods that they’d never know about if customers didn’t let them know.
Hoping this place is lifted up so the owner’s and her staff’s skills continue to provide...
Read moreHad high expectations for this place given the high quality pictures on the website. However this once again proves the old addage that you can't judge a book by its cover. For Jax Bread this meant all bread and no butter. I ordered the Ciabatta Chicken Avocado Sandwich with Bacon and Arugula. Sounds nice, no? Except that the bacon was grade-d quality, not even as good as what we'd source at Costco and no smoking or added touch. The chicken was chopped (who ever had a chopped-chicken sandwich) and had a realy hard time staying in the slopp-wet focaccia. The chicken had the quality of yesterday's rottisserie pulled and chopped this AM. The onions were a nice touch and no complaints about the avocado. However, the side chips was bottom-barrel lays quality and it was all delivered in awful never-degrade styrofoam packaging. All in all it was a race for the bottom in ingredients, and with a call a day ahead for delivery policy, i will go back to Panera after giving...
Read moreSelected this spot for breakfast because it was a bakery and not a national breakfast chain. Glad we did. The ham, egg, and cheese bagel on the jalapeno cheddar was good. Spice level on point, eggs were fluffy and overflowing over the edges, and a good amount of ham as well. It also has the house made truffle oil which took the sandwich to another level. Im still salivating after finishing the bagel 🤌🏻 My wife got the Lox bagel also on jalapeno cheddar bagel and flavor was great. Loaded up as well in similar fashion and plenty of food for the money. A few people have complained about the service being slow, but they make everything from scratch in the back and so it takes time to cook and assemble. If you just have patience it is well worth the tiny bit of wait. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and we can’t wait to be back to try more items including their home made African sweet bread! So happy we found this!
