Holy hell, this place is amazing. Start to finish.
I usually don't leave a review unless it's a restraunt that's good, or if it's a restraunt so bad it's a genuine health violation. I've worked in restraunts for many years so I always try to give compliments when they are due.
I ordered a TBaar coconut drink, and my boyfriend ordered the amazing lemonade. Both drinks were delicious and not overly sweet or 80% Boba.
For appetizers, we did the pork chasu (spicy and so tender - quite literally melted upon contact with no exaggeration), then the takoyaki balls with Bonito flakes. All the things takoyaki should be crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Warm with a delicious mayo and crunchy Bonito topping. I thought those to appetizers really shined.
For dinner , I did the crab rice burger and the omurice with katsu pork. Once again, the meat was flavorful with golden, crunchy breading. The omurice was delicious and simple with a demiglaze, and the demiglaze tossed in the rice with a cool presentation by the waitress cutting it open and offering seaweed flake. It's tasted wonderful and light.
Dessert was the Sakura blossom agar - it ended the meal perfect. It was sweet and subtle, the perfect size to end the meal and be refreshed.
The service was key. With the food being as good as it was, I thought there was a chance the staff would need longer to prepare and serve it. NOPE within less than 10 minutes of order for every round, the food was hot and ready on the table. The chef has got to be a genius, and the manager is probably aware of how they want the night to go from the jump.
The winner of it all was our waitress. There was no name tag we saw, but she was tall with round silver glasses and long black hair. Kind, hard working, and did not miss a single beat. Orderly, and when someone came that wasn't her, they weren't confused about a thing and served us our food with presentation and quickness. She truly timed herself well and her coworkers that night were on the ball too.
I've never had such an enjoyable meal is such a gorgeous restraunt. The decor is fresh, inviting, ethereal and overall clean.
Lots of love in this place. I wish we had 100 more like...
Read moreI was very excited to try this spot since ramen is one of my favorite foods to eat. The food was pretty okay, however, service was very lackluster. I asked for the number 1 combo, but the sever must not have heard me say combo even after I pointed at it too. I only received the ramen, this might have been due to the awkward music playing/ambient restaurant noise going on which made it somewhat hard to hear. I was very excited to try their Thai Tea that came with the combo. The food came out pretty quick which was an upside. Our server never came back around to ask how everything was or to see if we needed anything else. I actually had to flag her down to ask for some sort of sauce for the popcorn chicken. It was kind of dry on its own, so it would have been a nice suggestion when ordering to have a few sauces to choose from. My friend was finishing her bowl of ramen and asked twice by another worker that was busing if she was done, which felt like she was somewhat rushing her to finish. Enjoying the broth is supposed to be the best part of ramen, for me it is at least, so I thought that was odd. She was also expected to put the bowl on the bus tray without even a thank you from her. I did not enjoy my time at the restaurant. There are other ramen places around Jacksonville that have much better service and a more friendly atmosphere. After reading some of the other reviews, the being rushed to order and finish eating seems to be a trend here. I usually don’t post bad reviews, but I felt like it was needed because I had a similar experience as others have. The replies to those reviews say “we have addressed these issues with our staff members”, however they are still happening. This place is too well put together and nice to be overshadowed by lack of customer service and rude employees. Customer service and overall experience is a big deal to me, neither one of those were present last night. I don’t think I will...

Genuinely, this is some of the best ramen I've ever had. I had the Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen, and everything about it was fantastic. The noodles were perfectly al dente, the broth was flavorful, and the char siu was super tender. It tasted even better after adding some spice to it with the cayenne powder on the table.
My partner had the Sapporo Miso Ramen. I was hesitant because of the Sapporo part, but the broth tasted amazing. You can actually taste the Sapporo in it, but it blended in perfectly with the miso flavor and actually complimented the miso!
We also had the takoyaki balls, which were cooked perfectly. The filling was perfectly balanced with the batter, vegetables, and tako ratio. Not to mention their takoyaki sauce tasted great with it too.
Lastly we had the Milk Tea from TBaar - it was probably my most favorite milk tea I've ever had. Their black tea was so flavorful, and it really shined in the drink. It wasn't drowned out by sugar/milk like most bubble tea places. I'd go back just for that milk tea alone!
The ambiance: I knew going in we would experience a traditional Japanese Ramen Bar aesthetic, but to my surprise, they literally had 4 booths that made you feel like you were in an actual traditional ramen bar. They were also covered in sushi curtains too so you had some privacy. I loved it!
The service was amazing. At least in the "private booth", you can just press a button and the servers will come to your table. I love that because you can pick and choose when you need help, as opposed to having the awkward moment of a server coming up to you while you're mid-chew, haha. All of our servers were super kind and really welcoming!
Overall, I had a great experience and I can't wait to come...
