I went to this gw store to pre-order the 10th edition leviathan box. Spent over 3 hours there the day the pre-orders went live, to be able to get the acrylic token pre-order bonus that gw's own website said we would get if we picked up our copy on launch day at a physical store. Launch day comes and I am told that the tokens were only for people who bought the box in store today, not picked up via pre-order. So I was tricked into wasting my time, driving all the way out to this store, about an hour from me, and had to wait 3 hours to finalize my pre-order, so I could get the same pre-order bonus I could have got ordering online myself, instantly. The cardboard mats that I will never use. I should have just supported my local store instead of trying to be loyal to gw. Would have spent less time and gas. My mistake, but I've come to expect better from this store, because the employee's are usually very helpful. I'm also very displeased because I know other people who went to different gw store and they did get the tokens for pre-ordering. Unacceptable
Edit: in response to your response. Maybe you didn't see that I was almost an hour away from you, but returning to the store just to trade out for tokens isn't an option, at least not today. The person who helped me, Eric I believe, made it sound kind of final, and let me walk away mad about it. Not what I'm used to at your store, but I wasn't gonna...
Read moreEverything about the store, location, product line, tables/terrain to play on, places to hang out and paint, and especially the staff.. is awesome. I’ve been going here on and off (some long off periods) for like 10 years. They’re very polite and.. accepting of folks like me, or so I have experienced thus far. ::)
I literally only have one single issue.. They face the West.. Which means the late afternoon sun just blazes straight into the sun and, for me, it is extremely oppressive and overbearing. I wish there was a large awning or something out in the parking lot to block direct sunbeams altogether. Even through tent it’s quite..a discomfort.
Otherwise, I absolutely love this particular location and have, over a ten-ish year period, literally spent perhaps $2000 or so dollars here.. 90% of that on Death Guard and Maggotkin… xD
Hugs from Nurgle.. fyi I’m the one who donated the Glottkin in the case.. And I’m so thankful to the staff that they allowed me to offer my model to my local Warhammer Museum… (though.. but of course I had alterior motives.. ::D Oh yes.. My Chaos powers are working.. It’s only a matter of time before new customers fresh to the hobby.. SUCCUMB TO THE RUINOUS POWERS! ! ! hugs from Nurgle...
Read morePolitely accused my boyfriend of lying about buying an out of date book from this store. It was from 2017 and sealed, and we don't shop at any other WH store. Extremely disappointed since they were so nice to us the last time we shopped there. Won't be doing business with them again. Be sure to check your codex before leaving the store.
Edit: Still in absolute disbelief they're even replying to my review the same way they replied to him in store. As if someone would go out of their way to buy a 2017 codex, SEALED, just to get a free and up-to-date codex when a whole new codex is coming out in a few weeks. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, right?? And I don't know many people who save their receipts from 3-4 months ago, most stores only even care about within 30 days. We'll be on the look out for the next codex but definitely not from here. So as I stated before, check your codex before leaving the store to make sure it's up-to-date, because somehow we were sold an out of date one and they won't take...
