I’m a teenager working at the little caesar’s in the shopping centre just across the way from publix and sometimes get off pretty late. Last night i clocked out at 10pm and was pretty hungry i would’ve just went to publix but sadly they close at 10🙂
So i say whatever ill just go to mcdonald’s i have to cross the street anyway and it says there open till 12am, I walk to my way over to the mcdonald’s ordering my food on the app happy to go home and enjoy my food, The app told me that counter was unavailable personally i though the app was just messed up as it asked me to update and i hadn’t..
never the less i place my order through the drive thru what the hell i have nothing else to i’ll just go inside and explain to them my trouble with the app…
yet when i pull on the door to enter inside the door is locked? I look at the sticker posted on the door and it says the dining area is open till 11pm? okayyy i just got off there’s no way it’s 11? i’m on the phone with my girlfriend and ask her hey what time is it? as i didn’t want to take my phone out of my pocket she replied 10:08.
okay you know that’s weird but whatever ill just walk through the drive thru it’s late shouldn’t matter, i walk around the store going through the line there’s a couple cars in front of me waiting to get their order eh that’s fine i can wait i exchange a glance with the man at the window as I’m just standing behind both cars, not once does he pay me any mind.
a minute passes a car gets their order one left to go, as i’m waiting for the last car infront of me to get there order another car pulls up behind me, a family i presume they start joking with me and start talking “hey that a strange looking car got room in the passenger?” i laugh and point to my right “you’re welcome to join me”
a moment passes and the car infront of me finally gets their order woohoo my turn!… or so i thought, i’m told at the window by another boy around my age a teenager that “they don’t do walk ins” in the drive thru i say “oh okay that’s understandable i tried your doors but they were locked i placed an order though showing him my phone with the app pulled up showing the code 0A33 for my order number,
he reads my order then flat out tells me he can’t do anything for me and that next time i should think about coming back with a car?
i explain to him that the money was taken out of my bank account and my order says it’s been placed for pick up at your restaurant another person comes to the window a older black lady that tells me they have my order on the screens but it’s not prepared at all and that my money should just be put in my account within a few days.
i explain that that’s crazy and how it makes no sense as to why i can’t get my order your dining room should be open for pick up, after arguing for 5-8 minutes she reluctantly tells me to go to the front of the store and they’ll bring my order to me ( i believe it was to just get me out of the line )
i say okay and move to the front of the store just a few steps away from the front window i wait about 10 minutes until i get my order a long enough wait to where the people behind me got their order first i they actually spoke to me as they were leaving asking if i had gotten my order and they’d go through again to get it for me i said no and it’s fine you guys have a great night.
finally i get my order the food is cold and possible old the bag was cool to the touch and i was only given one of the three sauces i asked for on the app
All in all this establishment has rude classist workers, false advertisement posted on their doors showing their dining room is open till 11pm.
this is not my first review here but i believe it will be the last as i am not going to be continuing to go to this...
Read moreThis McDonald's is hit & miss. Sometimes it's good & sometimes bad. This last experience was good for what I am used to from them. 3 stars because they took my order at 10:53 pm, were fairly friendly, got the order right this 1 time out of several visits, & I didn't experience rudeness like in the past. Granted I sat in line for 35 minutes waiting 2 move up 2 the 1st ordering spot. I thought about just going home since it was so slow moving, but I just kept holding on to hope since I had nothing at home readily available & this place was the only one open. think it went better than normal because there were older ladies working that night, as in adults over 35.
I drove by 3 nights prior when it was supposed 2 b open in the later evening between 9:30 & 10:15 pm & saw cars pulling around to order & then driving off due 2 no service. It had the light on outside & inside, but saw nobody as far as workers. So I didn't even go there.
I also ordered later in the evening b4, had people laugh while they made me wait forever after I paid (almost an hour), short me food & mess up the only ketchup order & then not open the drive thru window when they knew I was waiting there. I believe the teens & young adults working that night messed up the order & short it on purpose. I even pulled bk around 2 the order spot to let them know about the missing items, no answer, & then the window & I saw them run away from the window laughing to hide. I called while at the window & saw a girl go toward the office, but not answer. Probably deleted the message I left for the manager. It was a normal order situation & nothing I did warranted that behaviour from employees. The only thing I can think of is I had a heavy person in my car & we ordered several cheeseburgers, but nothing out if the ordinary for a family of 5, plus some toddlers being babysat. Were they being rude making assumptions about 2 people in a car & the amount of food. I don't know why they would act that way & so rude. Unless they didn't have a responsible manager there at that time & thought it was funny to mess with people.
I planned 2 never go there again, but it has been months & the Grandpa & teen in my house really didn't want soup for dinner. They wanted burgers & McDonald's is what was still open by me. So I gave it a shot after I left home & found out the other places were about to close or already closed, RISKED IT & thanks 2 older lady workers had a meal I wasn't worried about having been tampered with.
The late night crew b4, I wouldn't put it passed them to do something morally wrong & mess with the food just cause I asked for a few burgers with only ketchup. I would never want to go there after 9 pm.
So the 3 stars is cause I'm not holding the behavior of past workers against the 3 people I saw that were working a couple nights ago. Still I normally don't choose to go...
Read moreYeah, um ... we live nearby and have been living there for many years. This place has always been a regular stop for us. Many years ago, it was one of the more premiere McDonald's that we had ever experienced. The food was tasty. The fries were fresh and plentiful. The orders were filled correctly for the most part, especially the drive thru which was one of the fastest in town ( maybe one out of twenty orders were incorrect) and the employees were nice, helpful and attentive. They seemed to appreciate our business.
Then a couple years or so years ago, the order quality slowly started going downhill. It got to the point that about 19 out of 20 orders were incorrect! The fry containers were barely half full and stale. Most coupons were not accepted and the food was no longer fresh and tasty.
It had been a couple of weeks since we had been there and we looked on Google for the latest menu, wanting to try something different, hoping they had corrected their problems. Well, on the menu at the location on Monument Road, it showed several new items, great! We'll try the Bacon Ranch Salad and the Angus Chipotle Bbq Bacon sandwich. The guy's voice at the drive thru was very rude and condescending, informing us they don't carry those burgers and all they have is a Southwest Salad (this is the SE and we eat salad and bacon w/Ranch dressing, thank you).
Ok, how about a sausage egg biscuit (as in the ALL DAY BREAKFAST!), errrr ... no we're not serving those now .... huh?. This was 4:30p The person taking our order acted like he was doing us a favor instead of us doing him a favor by us supporting his paycheck. You could tell by his attitude he did not want to work there. The person(s) filling our order apparently didn't care. One person who gave us the food, was nice.
We also ordered some other meals for the kids that included chocolate milk. When we got home, the salad was not good and not tasty. The fries were old and stale. And there was NO chocolate milk for the kids! Not ONE! Not ANY!
Could we have called and gone back up there? Sure, but this is not the first time we've had to do that and we are tired of trying to correct their employees' incompetence and lack of appreciation. The reason we order drive thru on many occasions is because we are in a hurry, we are tired and we are ready to eat when we get home. We are not ready to again drive back to a place of business that makes it their business to see that we are dissatisfied.
I wish another fast food restaurant with decent food would move in, or another owner who cares about this business would take over. In comparison to the money they make from thousands of other people, our menial contributions won't be missed. But for me and my family will definitely be considering...
