First of all, the food was completely awesome. The kitchen was totally on their game last night. We shared the pork osso buco and grilled zinger melt. All good was excellent.
The service however was pretty terrible. It started off fine enough where we were sitting on the inside bar. We took a few minutes to choose our Friday night drinks after a long week (it was about 8:30pm when we sat down), but the bartender was patient while we chose. Drinks came back good and strong. Shortly there after we were asked what we wanted to order. Started off with asking for an extra splash of soda in the drink, and was given a clear sign of impatience and a slight eye roll for this simple request. We ordered and received our food shortly their after. The zinger melt came out as fried and I asked if the food runner woman If she could could take it back and provide grilled (this was the main reason I ordered the melt bc it came without many carbs, and no fries). She did not hesitate and swiftly moved back towards the kitchen. A minute or so later the bartender who had been serving us to begin with came back with same plate of fried zingers and more eye rolls to ask again impatiently if the plate should be grilled instead. I confirmed, confused bc I was very clear with the food runner who seemed quite capable. To be completely honest, when the order was taken for the food by the bartender I don’t recall him ever asking if the zingers should be fried or grilled. However, as a former server I was taught to always ask the customer their preferences when the plate contains options as printed in the menu. The appetizer menu says blackened/fried zingers. There is no clear default per the menu. Similar to ordering a steak, the server always asks how it should be cooked because there is an option. As the customer who has never ordered this plate of food and is not familiar with it you don’t always think about details like this - it’s not your trained job.
We finished the food including the updated zinger plate which was absolutely excellent. Finished the tall/strong drink at 9:19. Tried repeatedly to make eye contact with the bartender who had not come back to check on us since he brought the fried zingers over with attitude. Time passed to 9:31 when the other bartender came to ask if we needed anything. At this point we were over the wait for a second drink and asked for the...
Read moreDisappointed * shocked 4real 😞I'm qualified to judge, back round bartending and serving 17 years. Knowing the high standards they normally have ,from being a regular customer of Beach Blvd. Millers location. Previous experiences were consistently fantastic. My date 4/20 at 8pm was so intoxicated it ruined the entire night , never able to put in my dinner order because the waitress 1. Served him pitchers back to back . Along with 2 shooters in-between (40 minutes total) .2. She was way too busy talking to my boyfriend to notice me constantly lifting up my menu, saying I'm starved , leaned into the table and with her elbows up on it, even asked him for his phone #! Tacky , beyond! She finally , non sincerely asked me what I want to order, only after he said 3x 'she needs food '! Her qualifications of people reading skills were zero . Taking an order , or getting to a table fast is pointless without suggestive sales, or followed by delaying the orders entry . 15 minutes of never ending gabbing with a customer, ignoring the other needs of the other customer (me) , disregarding the tables reason for coming from a long 8 hour drive. Plus serving a customer who was clearly drunk on arrival ! She knew He parked F450 in the median both front tires full on !! I chose Miller's ale House because it was our very first date that I have been looking forward to for months!! Since that night ,I actually had to leave the relationship . I'm still hungry craving my salad and cheese sticks I had to leave behind. To get a safe ride home with a stranger before the tears started in public. Blessed I didn't have to ride home with the drunk man that was having more shots bar side. Thank you to the good Samaritan on the motorcycle. Seems like it was all about her good night ! That's not jelousy it's called horribly...
Read moreMy buddy took the girls and I out for Christmas dinner, and like you'd expect pretty much everybody was closed. Well you can always rely on a few Asian joints to be open, or a tried and true sports bar, nothing stops Monday night football not even Christmas.. haha... anyways Miller's Ale House had our back, when your hungry your hungry. I've been here a few times and this particular location is my favorite, great food, great craft draft selection, good service, yup even on Christmas night. We had Ribeye with baked potato, prime rib burger with baked potato, girls split a mahi mahi Sammy, and a poblano burger and we all got salads. For the table some fried calamari, ate it to quick to snap a pic, and some crab legs..the homie said the ribeye was slapping, and perfectly cooked medium rare, prime rib burger was delicious, and the girls really liked their sandwiches.. especially the mahi mahi..the calamari was excellent, tho it could have used more dipping sauce, and the crab legs were o.k. but nothing to write home about..the girls were happy to try crab legs tho, for being seafood fans crab legs have always seemed to elude them. We had a great time, first time my buddy had tried them out. It's a great place to watch a game or fight, and you can smoke and vape on the barside/outter porch..solid choice.
Update: went back with my daughters, and again it was excellent. Our server Monserratte was great! Great times and good food and drinks. I had an Space Dust IPA, and my daughters had a Malibu Mojito and a Sweet Tea. I had Pork Osso Buco and a salad, and my daughters had Mimi's Fiesta Chicken Bowl, and a Cilantro Lime Chicken Bowl. Had fried Jalapenos for...
