The rating is not reflective of the food quality or atmosphere. It is just because of the bad experience we had today. This restaurant will be losing a repeat customer (my wife and I) who frequented this place for few weeks now and liked it a lot.

We moved from San Francisco here about a year back and were in search of a good small mom and pop pho place, back in Cali we ate pretty much every day outside because of our jobs and we still do as we work the same jobs remotely. Back there came to know some really good restaurants, made some lifelong friends (owners of the small food places) etc. We pride ourselves in not eating at chain restaurants.

However, since we have been going to Pho today almost 3 times a week for few weeks some of the staff recognizes us and today (around 8 PM) when we walked in one of the servers just showed us a table to sit and as she was serving other table, we did not mind and just sat even though we did not have the menus. Most of the times we went there, they would just smile and pointed at a table as they knew us. Today however, as soon as we sat, I guess a new server walks up and pretty rashly walks to the front and turns the "wait to be seated sign" and pretty much demands we cannot sit. It was quite a sad situation as I am pretty sure it is a new employee, and owners lost a lifetime customer forever. Needless to say, we walked out and spent our time at a friendlier place.

Jacksonville might not be close to San Francisco in the choice of Vietnamese joints, but sure there are a plenty to choose from. Sorry we won't come back, please treat other...

Vietnamese phở, which is such a comforting and flavorful experience! Here’s a bit of what makes a classic phở experience so memorable:

Rich, Aromatic Broth: Phở broth is simmered for hours with beef bones, star anise, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger, creating a deep, fragrant flavor that’s both savory and slightly sweet. It's the heart of the dish and brings everything together.

Fresh Rice Noodles: The noodles are typically soft and slightly chewy, absorbing the flavors of the broth perfectly.

Generous Protein Options: Depending on your choice, you might have had thin slices of beef like rare steak, brisket, or even meatballs. Each protein adds a unique texture and flavor, making every bite a little different.

Herbs and Garnishes: Phở is often served with fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, jalapeño slices, and lime wedges on the side. These let you customize each bite to your taste—adding freshness, spice, or acidity.

Sauces and Seasoning: Hoisin sauce and sriracha are common accompaniments for phở, perfect for dipping meat or adding a touch of sweetness or heat to your bowl.

Warm, Relaxing Experience: There’s something cozy and calming about sitting down to a hot bowl of phở, especially with all the vibrant aromas filling the air.

A bowl of traditional phở is both nourishing and satisfying, perfect for any time of day. How was your experience with the flavors and ingredients? Anything stand out as...

My boyfriend and I visited this establishment on Friday, 5/2. Initially, the experience was fine until it took a turn. The next morning, my boyfriend realized he had left his AirPods on the table. He went back to the restaurant and asked if anyone had turned them in. Staff claimed they hadn’t seen them and said there wasn’t a busser to clear the table, which didn’t make sense. He showed them the AirPods’ location, which indicated they were still at the restaurant, but they insisted the location was showing outside the building. We let it go for the moment and marked them as lost. Later that night, we got a notification that the AirPods were being used and charged again, at the same location. My boyfriend returned to the restaurant, upset that we had clearly been lied to. Eventually, he found the person who had them there, and they claimed they had just found them despite the AirPods being in use and at that location the entire time. They returned them but told him they didn’t owe him an explanation, despite the entire situation being suspicious and frustrating. As paying customers, we expected honesty and professionalism. Instead, we experienced dishonesty and disrespect. I would not recommend this business. All they had to do was return the AirPods but they chose to keep and use...

Pho Today is hands down one of my favorite places to eat. I’ve had Vietnamese food in a lot of spots, but this place just hits different. Everything tastes super fresh and authentic, like real homemade flavors. The food is always on point and the place is really clean too. The staff is always so friendly and respectful. I honestly think it’s part of their culture, and it just makes the whole vibe feel warm and welcoming. Over the past few years, we’ve actually come here to celebrate most of our big life events, and it’s been amazing every time. From their menu, I love and totally recommend trying the Pho soup and item number HS4, they’re both my absolute favorites. There’s a lot of parking space right in front and on the side, which is super convenient. We’ve been here plenty of times at night and never felt unsafe, it’s a good area. Bathrooms are clean, which is always a plus. Only thing I wish they’d improve is adding a hand dryer in the bathroom, but that’s just a small thing. All in all, this spot never disappoints. We love the food, the vibe, and the people.

Service was fine, but the food was okay. The cha gio was a bit too mushy on the inside for my taste, the goi cuon was plain but that's more of my parents thing, though the nuoc mam was not very good. It was a little awkward that the main dishes didn't come out at the same time (bun bo hue came out with the appetizers, then pho dac biet a little later, then some time later the bun dac biet came out.I got the pho, in which the noodles and meat amount was fine for me, but there was something about the broth that wasn't hitting for me. I might not be used to how they do their flavors, but it seemed light (not a bad thing), but there was hint/light sour and bitter note at the end, which wasn't pleasant for me (maybe vinegar in there? I didn't add anything extra into the dish). It seemed like my parents also thought their food was okay. Unfortunately I ended up getting sick from the food so I probably won't be back.
