Players Grille - Brooklyn — Restaurant in Jacksonville

So wanted this to be a good experience, as I am a homeowner in the area and was excited to have a sports bar nearby. Our community held an HOA meeting in the hotel today and a couple of us decided to try out the Grille. I'm hoping the kitchen was just having a bad one off night! We started with the cauliflower bites, they came out quick AND barely warm, we left the big pieces because they were cold inside. I then ordered a caesar salad with wings, I took one bite from the salad and I was done, the lettuce was drenched in dressing and the lettuce was soft and wilted as if the dressing had been on it for a while. Then I get my wings, the flavor was good, they were barely warm and out of the 10 count of wings, I get the part of the wing that doesn't get eaten, as seen in the photo. We didn't make any complaints, because we were at the bar and the one that was good was the bartender and the drinks she made. So we just paid the bill and...

I literally just walked out. It is 7:25 pm on Friday, June 19. There are two gentlemen sitting at the bar, a large group and one other party. Three employees walked by me a total of 9 times and not a single person acknowledged my presence. There are too many restaurants in this area to ignore a customer. I understand being busy but I will never understand being ignored. As an avid lover of Players Grille, it breaks my heart that twice I have not had a good experience at the Brooklyn location. Don’t waste your time coming here. Go to literally any other location or other restaurant...

Player’s Grill is hands down my favorite bar in all of Jacksonville and it’s 100% because of Grace behind the bar. She’s the kind of bartender that makes the whole place feel like home. Super friendly, always on top of things, and just has this energy that makes you want to stay for “one more.”

And the food? Always on point! Doesn’t matter what I order - it’s consistently great every single time.

Seriously, if you’ve never been, make sure you come on a day that Grace is working it’s absolutely worth it. She’s the reason this place stands out from every other...
