Got to Popeyes around 7:10pm. Sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes and realized the line was not moving at all. There is no room to get out of the line and leave, so I was stuck there. When I got to the speaker to order, there was a sign that says “speaker is broke order at window.” At this point I have been stuck in the line for 30 minutes with 2 cars still ahead of me who hadn’t ordered yet. 20 more minutes passed by and finally it’s my turn. The young man at the window takes my order and I pay. I ordered the big box special which is clearly advertised on the front of the building, and he says, “what’s that?” So then him and another worker are going back and forth for almost 5 minutes about what it is and then he comes back and tells me, “okay, I’m going to fix your order now.” He comes back and says they’re out of this and they’re out of that, it’s going to be another 20 minutes. I asked for a refund and they would not give me one. The workers are too busy talking to each other rather than working to even notice the long line in the drive thru. They aren’t even cooking anything. Waited another 10 minutes and he gave my food. At this point I was so mad that I didn’t even think to check it before I left. They gave me OLD and COLD chicken. It was NOT what I ordered, the red beans is only half filled. The entire order looked absolutely disgusting! $20 just to throw it all in the trash!!! Careless workers who don’t know how to do their job, the manager/supervisor obviously don’t care either. The health inspector needs to visit this place asap and I’m willing to bet they would shut it down! Don’t ever come to this Popeyes on 103rd street location by the Citi Trends store in Jacksonville....
Read moreI keep trying to give this Popeyes a chance, and 7 out of 10xs, the food order is either wrong or not fresh, and it's always a long wait at least 15-30 minutes, drive through or carry out. I purchased a 2 piece meal this time, with Mac and Cheese and red beans and rice on the side. I live about 10 min away, however, with traffic on Blanding Blvd 15 to 20 minutes depending on time of day. The chicken leg and wing were both pink at the bone , however, it was hot , however looked old. The red beans and rice were mixed together when normally the beans are on top and were watered down. I had to have gotten the last corner of Mac and Cheese, the first time that it wasn't good. I went between 3-3:30 pm. So I'm not sure if they were trying to get rid of food left from lunch or what. There is NO CALLING THEM BECAUSE THEY KEEP THE PHONE OFF THE HOOK!!!. I was going to return it the next day, however after taking it out of the microwave the next afternoon around 11am, it had mold on it in a very cool environment. It's always something wrong with your order, and often, I end up picking on it or throwing it away. Not to mention the inside is ALWAYS DIRTY. @BENBECKER. I'm not sure why they haven't failed inspections with trash on and around the preparation counter and on the floor. Not to mention that the parking lot has so many huge pot holes that you have to maneuver. Clean it up, do better, or shut it down. Read moreOrdered online. I should have ordered from a different location because I had bad food here before but I believe in second chances. I am fair in my assessment giving this location 1 star. Bad management in running a business because they always seem to be without. I ordered a 10pc meal bucket, two sides and extra two sides and 6 piece ghost pepper wings. I ordered at 1645hrs with pickup at 1730. Arrived at 1735 and nothing was ready for pickup and the place looked closed and uninviting. I walked in and gave my name to the gentleman behind the counter who was cordial. I told him my order number and he methodically prepped my order. He proceeded to inform me that there was no coleslaw no ghost pepper chicken. Listen I know product comes and goes but if you are a good manager there should be no reason why there should not be product unless there is a shortage in the food supply. Order enough for your customers so that product is always there. In lieu of the slaw I asked for potato and gravy and in lieu of the ghost Pepper wings I asked for 6 piece spicy wing. Got everything home. The food was subpar from the Popeyes I grew up and loved. The biscuits had a strange flavor and bit aftertaste the chicken was cooked well but it tasted as if they cooked in old oil. And my 6 piece wings were missing. I was not happy.
