Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I'm leaving a review since I noticed that the owner now responds. This is the worst ran Popeye's I've ever been to in my life. I love Popeye's and live less than a block from this place, so unfortunately it's the most convenient. The last 2 times I went here, I waited over 30 minutes for just chicken. You know what's crazy, is that I don't mind waiting if my food is fresh. I will tell you the biggest issue with the restaurant. They are SOOOO Disorganized. There is absolutely no respect given to online orders. YOu will wait 4x as long if you order online. You will come in, give them your name, and they wil not register that AT ALL! They will continue takingother others, the drive thru, make your order sit it to the side and then look at you and say, What you had? This happens EVERY single time. Last time thegirl at the drive thru managed efficeinty but the girl at the inside counter needed help. When the cars were gone fromthe drivethru, do you think she helped her collegue catch up? NOPE ! Most times they will be out of things and just sit them staring with no communication between workers. Theresa slim manager a guy with locs, dark skinned, hes nice but useless. I really wish I was kidding!!! I feel sorry for the poor Uber Drivers coming to make deliveries becausse they make them wait forever! I don't think I've ever given a 1 star rating- until now. How is it that the 1 main item that you sell, YOU RUN OUT OF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY??? Oh, and this is NOT the first time this has happened at this location to me. Pulled up to the drive thru. Waited and waited. Eventually someone said to pull up to the window and she would take my order. 3 cars in front of me. The car in front of me had an issue that took a while to fix. He left unhappy. I should have taken the hint. I tell her my order - 3 piece and biscuit $3.99 special. "We're out of wings." It'll take 17 minutes. Ok, I'll wait. "You gonna wait???" she asked. "Yes, I'll wait. I don't eat thighs or legs. " Welllllll......... you supposed to only get it mixed. I got the last breast in the store now and can give you a leg and thigh with it. " I DON'T EAT LEGS OR THIGHS. It's poorly managed and half of the dining room is a defunct babysitting operation for the employees children. No problem with an employer providing childcare, but the employer doesn't!!!! So one person manages some poor kids who are bored and running around and constantly getting scolded and yelled at. You get to put up with all this while you wait on you're food. They have mastered the art of "CEFE": Covid Excuse For Everything. If they just don't want to deal with you, they wont. They will just tell you they are out of whatever it is you want....Because of Covid and a supply chain issue. So you have to ask them what they have first and THEN order. The fountain drink machine ran out of whatever it is you want long ago. Between CEFE, Reverse order technique and "The system is down". Simply put, I understand. I know they don't make great money and they don't get any bonus or raise based on performance, The only benefits they get are forced by federal mandates. They get paid the same regardless of sales so they do the minimum and its part of our society. Other places in the area have the same problem and you have better luck at locally owned, non chain/corporate places. Forget about doordash or grub hub. You will receive a jacked up order every time.
