Best Hidden Pizza Spot in Jax – Space Pie House!

While I don’t always leave reviews, sometimes a place just deserves it—and Space Pie House absolutely does. This is one of those rare local places that truly deserves more attention. It’s a family-run pizzeria tucked away off Old St Augustine Rd, and it’s honestly some of the best pizza I’ve had in Jacksonville. They serve so much more than just pizza. From calzones, strombolis, pasta dinners, baked dishes, and subs to fresh salads, wraps, wings, and even desserts like tiramisu and cannoli—this place is like your dream Italian-American comfort food stop.

The pizza crust is that perfect thin New York-style—crispy on the outside, soft inside. The toppings? So generous. You can tell they don’t skimp on quality or care. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out hot and quick.

But it’s more than just good pizza. It feels like a place built with love. The owners are kind, hardworking people who clearly put their heart into every order. You don’t get that vibe at chain places.

They have tons of options, so whether you're into meat-lovers, veggie, or just want a killer cheese pizza, you’ll find something you love. We got a few different ones for the family, and every box was empty by the end of the night.

It honestly breaks my heart to see some of the unfair low reviews floating around —they don’t reflect what this place is really like. If you believe in supporting small, local businesses that actually care about what they serve, this is your spot. Don’t let that keep you from discovering one of Jax’s best pizza spots. Give them a try. Bring your friends. Tell your coworkers. Space Pie House deserves a full house every day.

🍕❤️ Worth the drive and wait. We’ll definitely be back—again and again. Highly recommend this place...

I can’t speak to anything outside of the pizza because I haven’t tried anything else.. But when I tell y’all, this is quite literally the best piece I’ve ever had in Jacksonville! I’m not lying! I am a piece of connoisseur and fanatic, and this tops every chain, Al’s, Renna’s, Tony D’s ( By the way, also one of my favorites, but still this place is a bit better!), Brooklyn’s, any other place that may be super popular or just mediocre! I don’t know why no one had told me about this pizza spot, but when I tell you that you need to try it, I am not exaggerating or blowing smoke! The guy that’s always there making the pizza even asked if I wanted it a little bit well done and hesitantly, I said yes, but it was the best decision because it was cooked to perfection! Try this place and thank me later! By the way, no shit to any of the other restaurants, I’m just letting you all know that I truly try every pizza joint that pops up, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this one is close to Bartram where I live, and quite literally the best I’ve had in Jacksonville in many years! Sorry, I couldn’t provide a picture of the entire pizza, we had already eaten...

The staff, interior, food and speed of are all beyond 5 stars! They have the kindest staff, who truly care about guests. They had a game on the TV when I went in, so the hostess and I were able to connect about football, and she made it a point to ask me who my favorite team was and even asked about a recent Jaguars game. They are not robots, in the sense of, “what can I get you, great, here’s your food, have a nice one” they truly want to connect with their guests and don’t force you but as a take a number and carry on service. I will definitely be returning for the Meatball Cacciatore and Deluxe Pizza, both are stellar as are all of the other menu options from Ravioli, Subs, Pasta Dishes and more. Their salads are all fresh and crisp, and EVERYTHING, no matter what it is, will be made to order and the service is still super quick and efficient. I have seen at least 2 different business is the space and I hope to see Space Pizza make a name and hard-stone location for themselves and expand elsewhere so more people can enjoy their awesome service and...

Very disappointed. Ordered a pizza and garlic bread, pretty simple. Pizza was okay, not good but not bad. The garlic bread was horrible. It looks and tastes like a hotdog bun spread out and a melted mozzarella cheese slice placed on top. It’s staffed by what seems like teenagers who can’t be bothered to do their jobs. Front desk girls were too busy talking to the guys in the back to run the front. With as many pizza places around, mediocre food with bad service is the reason I will not return.
