Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Mr Charles and his crew are amazing!! I cannot express more gratefulness to him....i have traveled cross country solo and with family and Mr Charles is certainly among, if not the most memorable experience in food/customer service i have ever experienced!! I had a recent schedule change and yesterday was rough. After working 8 hrs, over 20 in the two days prior and having the next almost 24 hours to go, i needed some comfort food. While trying to take care of me and my family i decided i needed and wanted to take care of me with some comfort food. I realized Smithfield's was due to close soon. I called hoping to place an order. Mr. Charles let me know the closed in ten minutes and if I could make it before they closed would be best, it was as if he knew i was going through something without me saying. As my life would have i arrived a few minutes past 930 ..door were locked. Mr Charles took care of my meal even though it was after hours!!! I felt and still do feel incredibly blessed by this wonderful and caring man and his crew. It made my evening and i pushed through the rest of my work shift until 4 pm today. This man and his crew are beyond amazing!! Please support this establishment, good food and most of all, amazing...

I have always enjoyed this restaurant at this location as I've visited many times to enjoy a chicken platter. However tonight my spouse and I stopped into the drive-thru to get two bbq sandwiches, one fry and two sweet teas and it was absolutely AWFUL. My bbq sandwich came with two top buns, and his came with two bottom buns. It was like someone dipped down to the bottom of the coleslaw jug and got all the liquid they could and poured it all over our sandwich. I couldn't even hold it in my hand the bread was completely MUSH. I am not exaggerating. It was unedible. I ate some of the meat and drank some tea to wash it down. I wanted to take it back in but did not want to make a public scene...however, for $15.00 I expect a decent made sandwich. I will never order another bbq sandwich again. Bad management to let something like that go out the window. So, hopefully management will see this and instead of making a public scene, will ensure it doesn't happen to the next...

Saturday 9 April 2022 we had a party catered by the Smithfield’s on Yopp Road.

Our food arrived a few minutes early which was perfect. All the food was OUTSTANDING. The hot food was piping hot and the cold food was really cold and we live on the other side of town.

The flavor of everything was phenomenal and everyone in attendance absolutely loved it. We received so many compliments on how good the food is/was.

We ordered food for 40 people. 47 showed, everyone ate, everyone took home food and we still have plenty.

The delivery man was extremely polite, courteous and loaded us down with condiments including ice baths for the cold food.

We wanted for nothing and if you are planning a catered event, then look no further. Smithfield’s Chicken N BBQ on Yopp Road is the best of the best and you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Oh yeah, their prices are so reasonable you won’t believe it!

If I could give them 10 gold stars I certainly would.
