UPDATE: 7/23/ā22.. DONāT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!
We canāt keep wasting our money on disappointing meals out. Who can?
Iām beyond disappointed with my local Loop. Itās really gone downhill since moving to its current location. What grill cook doesnāt know to butterfly a chicken breast? My husband ordered a Cajun and Jack but wound up with an un-butterflyed breast with zero Cajun seasoning and zero cheese. I ordered a Loop n Cheddar, med well, it was charged to a crisp. That was our previous order, and it was expensive for being nearly unpalatable. The last time I called to voice concern with food quality, a 20 something year old kid copped attitude with me, so, I didnāt call.
Today we just wanted pizza. We thought, pizza and salad is easy, they wonāt mess that up. Wrong. Now, the bbq pizza was spot on, albeit the crust is kinda- strange, spongy. But the Goats Cheese salad looked like whoever made it has never seen a salad in their lives. Nothing was properly cut and it was just slopped together. I swear- I keep telling myself Iām done, Iām not going back. But, I live over here. This is my Loop and someone is majorly slacking and hiring slackers that have no kitchen skills. I keep giving them a chance because I remember how good it used to be.
A salad and a pizza cost us $30, and only the pizza was good. $30 for a 12ā bbq pizza.𤯠Most of your clients arenāt going to continue to be willing to pay a premium for slackers to ruin good food due to inexperience and misguided pride. Please hire some people who know how to cook.
Previous Review: Iām done with the Ortega area Loop after getting one of our usual orders to go. Hereās what we got for $34.78.. 1) The person making the pizza on Friday August 17th /not the guy with dreads, heās spot on every time/ made it all crazy and sloppy, too big for the box, so the pizza was all folded up in the box. Thatās just an insult to pizza. My husband worked there making pizzas when he was 16, almost 25 years ago. We have both been cooks for our early adult years and I went to culinary school. So, we know a few things. 2) I ordered a Walnut Gorgonzola salad. Which was fine but,, they accendently used blue cheese, maybe they ran out during dinner rush and hastily grabbed the wrong bag. Kinda ruining the flavor profile. Not the end of the world but my husband called to let them know for quality control, which is when the big problem came up. 3) The young āladyā who answers at 7:34 pm (and was the person who took our order) was very condensending to him when he explained that the salad had the wrong cheese. That they had accidentally put blue cheese rather than gorgonzola. The snappy, hopped up young women said she remembered him and then proceeded to argue with him that blue cheese isnāt on the salad line and that gorgonzola is STONGER in flavor than blue cheese!!! Arguing with customers, having zero idea that sheās talking matter of fact, being a know it all to people who were working in the culinary industry before she was born. Very disrespectful and nothing was resolved. No apologies. Rude, Rude, Rude!! I wish I had taken a picture of that pathetic pizza. The experience was so bothersome that hubby could barely enjoy his pizza and my salad just tasted off with blue cheese. We have never been treated with such short and cocky customer service. But, I guess weāre nobodies when my husband shows up after a hard days work wearing his work shirt, which is a petroleum co, getting treated like our money isnāt as good as anyone elseās by bratty, slopy, judging, kids...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really like the Loop. It is a favorite place to eat. I usually visit at least once a week. I was a little disappointed in my last 2 visits. My wife doesn't care for cheese and didn't order it on a burger. I ordered my burger with cheese. When I noticed the receipt hah two cheddar loop burgers, I was able to get it corrected before we got our food. I didn't see a need to say anything more. Our visit today was a problem for me. After we placed our order, my wife thought we paid to much for our order. I checked the receipt and noticed we were charged for 3 meals and not two. The cashier made the mistake of putting 2 chicken sandwiches for my wife and my burger. I was able to get the problem corrected and get the extra money refunded. Unfortunately the cooks weren't told in time and had already started cooking the second chicken sandwich. I felt bad that the mistake cost the Loop to have prepared an extra sandwich but at least I didn't have to pay for the mistake. I also ordered a milkshake, split without any whip cream on it. When we got our food the milkshake wasn't on the tray. I asked for the milkshake and was asked what flavor. I assumed that meant it hadn't been made yet so I said it was a chocolate shake split, with no whip cream. In less than a minute I was called to pick up the shake. I took what I was given since I was already disappointed. When I sat down and gave my bride her shake we both noticed it had clearly had whip cream removed from it and was half milky like it had been sitting for a while. I don't like to complain at restaurants and knew I was disappointed enough by now to just eat our meal and leave. I still like The Loop but my bride is rethinking whether she wants to return soon. Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback, and again, most of the mistakes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to start by saying that The Loop will always have my business. I've been coming here for most of my life, and I genuinely love the food. The service is consistently quick and friendlyāsomething my family and I really appreciate.
That said, I did have a disappointing experience today. I let the cashier know that I have a serious dairy allergy and cannot consume any dairy. I also took time to study the allergen menu placed by the counter. The employee was very helpful in answering my questions, which I appreciated.
However, when my food came out, it was topped with layers of cheese, and most of my fries were touching it as well. The cashier apologized and admitted she had not marked my order as a dairy allergy or removed the cheese. I understand that mistakes happen, and Iām not upset with herābut unfortunately, this meant I couldnāt eat with my family, which was really disappointing.
To her credit, she acted quickly and got me a new burger with no dairy whatsoever, even during a hectic Saturday graduation rush. I truly appreciate her effort to fix the issue.
Still, I hope the team at this location takes this as a learning opportunity. Food allergies and safety protocols should be taken very seriously. If I hadnāt caught the mistake myself, the situation couldāve ended with a hospital visitāwhich is a scary thought. Experiences like this make people with severe allergies hesitant to dine out, and that can ultimately hurt business.
Thanks for listening, and againāI really do love The Loop. Iām sharing this in hopes of helping improve the experience for...
