I went in with a mission, I'd fallen in love with this hair style an Actress had and I wanted to emulate it. A kinda feminized bowl cut, it was cute and short and had lots of layers for my textured hair. I loved it.
This is my normal salon that I take my kids to, it's about a half hour from the house, but it's worth it for the stylists. I checked in with my Daughter and when it was my turn, I showed the Man what I wanted and he went to town
But it was nothing like the photos. I had four different photos of the same actress from the same film, just from different angles. I get that my hair may not have been thick enough for the cut, but I wish he'd have said something rather than hacking so much of my hair off.
Instead of a bowl and a shorter trim underneath, I got a ragged pixy. Even he acknowledged it didn't look like the photos....I swallowed it down and paid and tipped, but it didn't look better after I styled it. I can't get curls from inch long hair. I worked all day today and by the halfway point, put on a hat. I am so disappointed and hate the way I look now. I know it's just hair, it will grow and look better. But I don't feel like he listened to me at all and I felt like I came in prepared.
My coworkers were all very sweet and reassuring, but I am unhappy with this experience and am not sure if I will return. It's going to take a long time for my hair...
Read moreYesterday was a very emotional day for my sister and me. Due to personal and traumatic reasons, we were there to cut off all of her long hair. She has styled her hair long for most of her life (we are in our 50's), and this was like losing a part of herself, but it had to be done. Our stylist, Becca, listened to her story, offered complete compassion and did a fantastic job making this process as easy for my sister as she could. And the cut looks absolutely adorable!! I also got my hair cut short too, in solidarity with my sister. Becca went above and beyond the casual hair stylist and has become part of our future family stories. There were tears but there also was relief and we can't thank Becca enough for her expertise and compassion. (Also, it was great to see Heather back in town!!) Read moreI have been coming here for years. Most every one has cut my hair. Its a quick shave on the sides with nothing off the top. Simple as pie.
Today I checked in online prior to arrival. I check in online every single time. The stylist did not see me in the cue and kept asking if I checked in online. I did. She said it shouldn't be too long to "camp out."
I waited 45 minutes while the entire lobby was cleared out. Then I figured I would be close to the top of the cue instead I was at the bottom. Everyone else after the lobby cleared out the first time was on the cue ahead of me.
I left because I didn't want to wait another hour when my ten minute haircut could've been bumped up. Almost everyone has cut my hair.
In conclusion I left because waiting 2 hours for laziness is unacceptable for a good business. Today was a pathetic excuse...
