Their food is pretty good. Unfortunately, I think they're extremely greedy. I don't like pork fried rice as far as pork being in it. I like fried rice and I prefer not to have the pork in it. So I usually just say vegetable fried rice because there's usually already have carrots, peas, and onions in it. They charge $2 more to have vegetable fried rice. I've never experienced that in any Chinese restaurant. It's usually no big deal. They just leave out the pork. Plus; for the amount of vegetables that they're adding It's absolutely ridiculous to charge two dollars. It's not a lot at all, and it's actually not really necessary to even add more. They're adding things that aren't normally in Fried Rice. I've considered not returning there because they're really greedy. The portion size is really small. Also, they had a little girl ringing up orders. One afternoon, with 3 of my children, we went there, and the little girl got their order wrong. We didn't discover it until we were at our destination. I was gonna call and say something, but my son said just leave it alone. I just want to eat and be done with it. The positive thing that came from that was he said it wasn't overloaded with onions, which he doesn't like. So the last time I went there, I expressed to the lady what had happened, not expecting to get anything Exceptat an apology or an acknowledgment, to what I said. And she just stared off into nowhere and I found that to be a big turn off and very rude. You would think she'd wanna know that the child had ordered food wrong? Perhaps she shouldn't have a child taking orders to begin with. Also, every single time, I get food there. They don't provide forks. So it's a good thing I keep them in my car. If somebody has a to go order, they really should provide a fork or a spoon. Like I said, from the beginning. Their food is pretty good; however, their hospitality and their professionalism are lacking. Not to mention their greedy just saying. I understand that we're in a weird time in history where things are overpriced. Seriously, because someone doesn't want pork in their fried rice , and they prefer just fried rice and charging two dollars more for barely a the 1/8 c of vegetables if...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from Green Lake for years and normally do not have any complaints with food or service. When we do come here we typically spend at minimum $50 feeding a family - today we spent over $100 selecting items we have not purchased in the past. The House Special Moo Shu dish states online they have pancakes that come with the dish. Disappointed to see they had spring roll (eggroll) wrappers as their “pancakes.” Called to inform them and the first gentleman hung up the phone on my Mom. I returned the call after they hung up and spoke with a female and she finally admitted that they no longer serve the pancakes and give the spring roll wrapper as their version of pancakes. A quick apology from the lady and nothing more before she hung up the phone on me. It’s misleading to customers who know what true Asian pancakes are and then give eggroll wrappers knowing you no longer make them, but lie on the webpage to sell the menu item. This was one of the better locations in town; however, won’t do business again here. Sadly, they weren’t concerned losing business either.
Also, we ordered a Medium Spicy of Chicken w/ garlic sauce, Orange Chicken, and Crispy Tofu. Neither of these dishes had any element of heat. Color was darker, but lacked the spicy...
Read moreThe most stars in the area for Chinese joints in a 10 mile radius, so with my handy dandy app in hand I set out to see if it was better.
We arrived indecisive and their patience was thick, that was greatly appreciated.
Our order: veggies in brown sauce dinner combo with shrimp fried rice and a cheese wonton instead of a egg roll, orange chicken dinner combo and chicken on a stick with fried rice.
I went back up to the counter to add a order of cheese wontons and she was already putting them in my bag, COMPLIMENTARY!!
Free food always makes my night!!!!
So thank you for your great customer service.
The ONLY con is that my vegetables were basically raw, almost like they weren't sautéed at all so I sautéed them myself for another 10 minutes.
Update: I love Lomein, one of my favorites.. I'm always looking for a good noodle. Their lomein is great for fast chinese takeout/delivery. Full of flavor! "Extra bean sprouts please!"
Fried chicken and the eggrolls are good as well, but you get less chicken wings for your money here than other places.
Over a year later and she's still giving out complimentary wontons (or at least I got some) I always sub my eggroll for a cheese wonton. If there were more cream cheese I'd eat these all day, I...
