BarWhiskey — Restaurant in Jefferson City

We came here on a recommendation from the bartender of Madison's down the street. Boy was she right. This place is a whiskey lovers dream come true. Being a newly reformed bourbon lover, I had yet to have an Old Fashioned that I really liked. That changed with the Smoked Old Fashioned made with Buffalo Trace that I had here. It was delicious.

We tried a few different of their craft cocktails, some bourbon some gin, and all were delicious. Being from Florida I tried to venture out for a mojito, but that didn't end to well and I couldn't finish it. I honestly would describe it as carbonated/fizzy lemonade. Think Diet Mountain Dew (not even sure if that a real thing) over ice, but that is what I get ordering that in a whiskey joint!

The place had the coolest wood bar and wood trim and a really clean aesthetic. The bartenders were very friendly and took time to chat with us since it was a week night, an hour or so before close and there were three customers in the whole place.

I highly recommend stopping in and I plan on making it back for another Old Fashioned when I find myself in Jefferson City again. Love this place for a great craft cocktail. It's a simple bar.

My fav is the "fig get about it". They offer smoked cocktails and have a huge selection of whiskey, bourbon, and scotch. Service is always fantastic. Cocktails are always consistent. They do not offer food. I generally sit at the bar, but there are high top tables and a more private area in the back. There are two large TVs on the wall, and no typical bar games, music or activities. I do not recommend the espresso martini that's on the menu. They pop open a can of Starbucks and mix it with vodka. This place was awesome. The vibe was super chill and was generally a great place to have a drink and actually have a conversation with a friend we hadn't seen in years. The bartenders were really friendly and they made sure we were good to go the whole time we were there. They're selection of spirits was pretty impressive, and they actually had 1554, one of my favorite beers that's hard to even find in stores, on tap.
