If you've never had Jamaican food and you're from the Midwest, this is a great place to start. The flavors are more muted, and there's no spice. If you've had Jamaican food, this place falls short. The decor/atmosphere reminds me a lot of the restaurants in the Caribbean but the music was lacking. You got blasted with it at the door and then it kinda just echoed through the building. The staff were helpful but not very responsive. The good was good but muted. I got the curry chicken and it was nice but much more subtle than I'm used to, especially for Jamaican food.

We drove quite a distance to try out this place, and it was worth it. The young man who took our order was polite and made us feel welcomed. We ordered oxtail and fried chicken, and everything was tasty. The prices reflect the economy, but you get your money's worth. The portion sizes are huge, and mi nevah get so much oxtail pan mi plate at a restaurant! Also, the fried chicken is the best we've had. The food is well-seasoned and fresh. I am picky with Jamaican food since I cook my own. The reviews nah lie with Koolrunin...

This was by far the best service and friendliest family business that I have ever experienced. The chef came out to personally greet us and even offered us a sample to taste the different flavors. I had the veggie alfredo pasta with the fried chicken added. It was hands-down the tastiest pasta I've had. The sauce was just slightly sweet in the best ways. HUGE portions that made about three meals. I will be sure to return when visiting Jeff City in the future.

This place definitely has the best food in town! I just finished the hot fry chicken and it was perfect. The chicken was nice and tender and juicy and the sauce was very flavorful and perfectly spicy! The nice ladies at the register had me taste the oxtail while I waited a couple minutes for my order to be boxed up, it was great! I will definitely put this place at the top of my favorite restaurants in town. If you don’t try their food, you are missing out on the best food in town! The service is excellent also, they are very welcoming and you don’t have to wait long for your freshly...
