The two bright spots of our meal were the mack 'n cheese and the stoner sauce on the tater tots. Admittedly, I'm a bit biased when it comes to BBQ. I've eaten the best BBQ Texas has to offer and this place doesn't even rate. I didn't expect to find the greatest BBQ in downtown Jeff City, but i also didn't expect to get served what looked and tasted like warmed up vacuum packed brisket and sausage. It was dry and flavorless and I didn't have to wonder why they offered six different sauces on the table. It would've been difficult to choke down the brisket and sausage without it. The service was okay and the beer menu is pretty limited. This is the only BBQ place I've eaten in Jeff City but I hope the other offerings are better than this one. If you're craving brisket and sausage in Jeff, try one of the other offerings. I didn't expect much, but come on. You can find better brisket and sausage in your own back yard. The service was the brightest spot on this trip and that's not all a BBQ joint should have to offer. And at $70 for two of us, this was way over priced.

Wow! I’d rate them 20 out of 5 if I could. Best bbq I’ve ever had, exceptional service, atmosphere, music, vibe was great! We had the boss hog to split and sides of Mac n cheese creamy deliciousness and stoner tots crispy tots with their potato salad dressing on top. I was tempted to lick the bottom of the dressing off the basket it was that good. Brisket, pulled pork, Turkey and sausage best I’ve ever had and perfectly seasoned and smoked. I don’t like pickles and my 17 yo son had me try the pickles and I loved them actually along with the pickeled apple slices I ate all of them. I ordered Nikki’s Fruit Punch cocktail and it was perfectly tropical and tasty! Service was fast for food and drinks and waitress was delightful, attentive, and friendly. We are headed back tonight before we leave early tomorrow morning.

Absolutely excellent. The burnt ends (at lunch, usually gone by not long after 11:30am) and the slop sandwich definitely rise to the top for me. My wife loves the pulled pork nachos. Top side is definitely the pit beans. A must try. A note on the jalapeno cheese grits, these are usually a favorite for me at most places that have them. Here, I found them to be too liquidy, and not quite what I wanted on the flavor profile either, but still fine. All around, this is in my top 10 all-time BBQ places for sure. Maybe not top 5, but definitely top 10. Absolutely the best anywhere between KC and STL for sure. Always worth a stop. Great beers on tap too, and a cool atmosphere. Plus, and this is important on workday lunches, they are quick! Very fantastic, keep up the great work, y'all!

My husband and I ordered the “Boss Hog” via Deal Dash at 18:30 on a Saturday. Paid at the time the order was placed. Received a call from a young lady stating they were out of ribs and almost out of sausage. She went on to say because they were out of these two meats they were unable to sale us the “Boss Hog”. (already ordered and and) My husband requested to have other meats substituted. The young lady agreed to substitute turkey and chicken for the ribs and sausage. We received a second call from the manager, Eugene, to tell us he was unable to substitute meats for the “Boss Hog” and that we would have to cancel our order through Door Dash to have our money refunded. We requested several times to have the meats substituted so we could have dinner. The meal had already been paid for and the Door Dash driver was at the restaurant to pick up our order and turned away by Eugene. Eugene never offered a solution and was not willing or able to correct the problem. We finally figured out how to cancel our order through Deal Dash and had to order our meal from Bandanas BBQ....

Extremely disappointing experience. I would have to suggest the owners and staff go to Kansas City for some BBQ so they could learn how it's suppose to be done. The place was out of more than half the menu on a Friday at 5pm. Highlight of the trip was the 2 nice kids working as service providers. The owner sat at the front and entertained his friends at the bar and was rude and unfriendly with all the other patrons. Saddest potato salad and coleslaw I've ever tasted. My wings tasted nasty and I could hardly chew them. As if they smoked them a week ago and kept serving them until they were all gone. This dump really needs to close its doors. Sad when there is a convention in town and we should have known when there was only 4 groups in there on a Friday. Jrfferson City has a gem of a downtown by the Capitol I hope someone who knows how to operate a quality restaurant moves in the area. Has all...
