I have eat at D'Cuba a few times me and my husband we love it there. Recently, on 8/15/2021 around 4pm it was our first time dining in since it opened back up from Covid-19. During my visit my waitress was not that welcoming, she also forgot to put my drinks on my bill, after I paid and began walking out. I mentioned to her well then I would be back I had to go back to the table and get my card from my husband who was originally at the counter paying with me, until he walked off after the transaction was done. The waitress embarrassed me by verbally an psychically following me as if I was going to run out the store. I told her I would be back I have to get my husbands card who was at the dining table she said "I cant let you do that" she thought I was going to steal. SMH people was looking this was embarrassing and rude of her. Next time she should write down all the food on the order before writing up a bill so she wont forget to put something on the bill. That is her job to do not ours. Additionally, we could not leave a cash tip because they are now forcing a paid tip on your card when the table is 5 people or more. It was two adults and 3 kids total. So, this is new for us. Also, their prices increased about $5.00 more now on menu items. I love this place but I hope it does not become run down or horrible because of waitresses....
Read moreHad a work meeting and was in the area. Looked up some places, and this had great reviews. Came in, and it's a nice, fancy, and small location. Took me by surprise and very inviting. Their garlic bread appetizers are delicious. I got the jibarito, which was very tender and delicious. Unlike other jibaritos, this wasn't greasy whatsoever. It didn’t come with the garlic on top, which I love, but that's on me for not asking. I also got the black congri rice. Never had it, but it was different and good. The others in my group had different meals, too, and they loved it as well. Think it was some kind of fajitas. They did look and smell great. I will be coming back and trying out a new dish. Hopefully, they will surprise me again. On another note, they make everything from scratch, so it's fresh, and it may take a while, so plan ahead. The other group that walked in after we were leaving did call ahead for dine in. Must be regulars! You live and learn, and not a bad...
Read more*RACIST ESTABLISHMENT ** This was my first visit there today and it will be the very last. The immensely rude waitress who told me her name was “midna” had absolutely egregious customer service, I am disgusted. As she finished up BARELY explaining the menu to me (never had Cuban food before)—she wasn’t helpful in the least bit when doing so, I began to order. As soon as I began to order she said “wait”, and went to another table to assist them(who were Spanish like herself and her staff) as if I wasn’t even in the midst of speaking to her, then came back. I then told her I found that very rude and she began to act like she didn’t understand English then proceeded to tell me she doesn’t understand, the lady wasn’t welcoming to begin with and all around completely rude and utterly dishonest, and it is in fact because I am a black. DO NOT WASTE MONEY HERE....
