Today, I placed an online order. Upon arrival, I informed the employee that I was there to pick up my order. He then told me that a specific item I had ordered was unavailable. At first, I had difficulty understanding him due to his heavy accent, but I eventually understood and requested a refund for the unavailable item.
The employee responded by raising his voice and stated that he could not issue a refund because the order was placed online. I found this reasoning unacceptable, as I have never encountered a policy where online orders are not eligible for refunds. This interaction left me feeling as though the employee was attempting to keep my money without providing the item I ordered.
After a prolonged and unpleasant exchange, he eventually refunded me $6 but also told me to never return to the restaurant. This experience was extremely disappointing, as I have always enjoyed dining at Subway. However, due to this incident, I will not be returning to this location and cannot recommend it to others.
